The Plane, Carrying The Casket Of Rev PEFOK, Retired Pastor Of The PCC, Who Passed Away In The USA On June 14, 2026, Is Expected To Arrive, The Yaounde – Nsimalen International Airport In Cameroon, On July 17. Meanwhile, The First Phase Of The Celebration Of The Life And Legacy Of Rev RICHARD PEFOK, Took Place In Maryland, USA, On Friday, July 10, 2026.
The much beloved Pastor and Faithful Servant of God, Rev RICHARD FONCHAM PEFOK, retired Senior Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), who passed away in the United States of America on June 14, 2026 at the age of 94 (June 19, 1932 – June 14, 2026), will be buried in his village, Bali Nyonga , Mezam Division in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, on July 31, 2026. The plane carrying the casket of the late man –of- God, Rev Pefok, coming in from the United States via Europe, is expected at the Nsimalen International Airport in Cameroon’s capital, Yaounde, on July 17, 2026, from where the corpse will be transported to a mortuary in Bamenda, in the Northwest Region of the country.
Funeral Programme
Meanwhile according to the funeral programme released by the PEFOK’S Family, the Celebration of the Life and Legacy of a Faithful Servant of God, In Loving Memory of Reverend Richard Foncham Pefok, the Beloved Pastor and Faithful Servant of God , are in two phases . Phase 1 in the United States, while Phase 2 will hold in Cameroon where the burial will take place.
The chapter from the Holy Bible for the celebration of the Life and Legacy of the Faithful Servant of God (Rev Pefok), is taken from PHILIPPIANS 4:13 – “I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME”.

The first phase of the Celebration of the Life and Legacy of the Faithful Servant of God, in the Loving Memory of Reverend Richard Foncham Pefok, Beloved Pastor, Faithful Servant of God, took place in the United States of America, precisely in Maryland, on Friday, July 10, 2026.
. The programme featured among major events, VIEWING & SERVICE from 4 pm to 7 pm Est, on Friday, July 10 at Memorial Chapel, University of Maryland, 7744 Regess Drive, College Park MD 20742.

As regard the Celebration in Cameroon of the Life and Legacy of a Faithful Servant of God, In Memory of Rev Richard Foncham Pefok, Beloved Pastor, Faithful Servant of God, it will kick off with a WAKE SERVICE at PC NTAMULUNG – BAMENDA, at 3 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Worthy of note that Rev Pastor Richard Foncham Pefok, before going on retirement, last served, for several years, as Pastor of Presbyterian Church Ntamulung Congregation. His private residence in Bamenda, is also at Ntamulung Quarters.
The Programme For Friday, July 31, 2026: 7. 30 am – 9.30 am. VIEWING at PC NTAMULUNG – BAMENDA.
10 am: Church Service at PC NTAMULUNG – BAMENDA, followed by Burial at PEFOK’s FAMILY COMPOUND AT NJENKA QUARTERS, BALI NYONGA.
Saturday, August 1, 2026: Celebration of the Life and legacy of a Faithful Servant of God, Rev Pastor Richard Foncham Pefok, at PEFOK’s Family Compound at Njenka – Bali Nyonga. This is what is, commonly known in Cameroon, as “Cry –Die”.

Obituary Announcement By Moderator Of PCC
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that immediately the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church In Cameroon, Rev MIKI HANS ABIA, was informed on that fateful day (June 14, 2026) of the passing on to glory of Retired Rev RICHARD FONCHAM PEFOK in the United States, by the eldest son of the late Pastor, VICTOR PEFOK, the Moderator immediately put out an obituary announcement, on behalf of the PCC. The Moderator in the release also extended his condolences to the bereaved family, and prayed that the soul of the late retired Reverend Pastor PEFOK should rest in perfect peace.
And like the PCC Moderator, The Mentor News also prays that the soul of the departed Beloved Pastor and Faithful Servant of God, Rev Pastor RICHARD FONCHAM PEFOK, should rest in PERFECT PEACE.
