In His New Year Message To The World, The Inter. Crusader For Peace And Justice, Prays That The Root Causes Of The Anglophone Crisis In Cameroon, And Other Conflicts Across The World, Be Genuinely Addressed, And Lashes Out At Those Who Exploit Crisis For Personal Gains. Halle Condemns Hypocrisy, Especially By Leaders Who Publicly Profess Strong Religious Faith, Yet Engage In Corruption, Electoral Fraud, Embezzlement, Bribery.

As the world steps into 2026, internationally acclaimed peace crusader, human rights lawyer, anti-graft and election expert, as well as good governance advocate, Sir Dr. Barrister Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, has delivered a hard-hitting New Year message to Cameroonians, Africans and the global community, calling for a return to morality, patriotism and principled leadership.
Speaking in a reflective, yet uncompromising tone, Sir Dr. Halle noted that the year that just ended was far from pleasant for those willing to be honest with themselves. He described the socio-economic and political realities of Cameroon, Africa and the wider world as «troubling, frustrating, saddening and, at times, despicable ».
He reminded humanity that God created abundant resources capable of sustaining far more than the world’s estimated 7.4 billion (Seven billion, four hundred million) people. Halle thus stressed the fact if poverty, unemployment and despair do persist the world over, it is not because of scarcity, but it is rather because of mismanagement, lack of transparency, greed, absence of love, weak patriotism and lame democracy.

Moral Failure At The Root of Global Crises.
According to Sir Dr. Halle, the global community has failed to uphold basic moral and ethical standards, resulting in widespread corruption, hate speech, discrimination, tribalism, social injustice and violent conflicts.
«The wars, killings and instability we witness today, are evidence of how far humanity has drifted from morality», he said, adding that despite these mankind’s shortcomings, God still remains patient and loving, continually offering humanity the opportunity to repent and correct its ways.
He expressed deep concern over Africa’s paradoxical condition—being the richest continent in natural and human resources, yet forced to beg from poorer regions of the world. He warned that the so-called aid often comes with hidden agendas, including the exploitation of Africa’s minerals in collusion with leaders ; a situation that fuels conflict, poverty and insecurity.

Condemns Hypocrisy In Leadership And Hero – Worshipping
The International Crusader for Peace and Justice, strongly condemned what he described as entrenched hypocrisy, particularly among most leaders who publicly profess strong religious faith, yet engage in corruption, electoral fraud, embezzlement and bribery.
« Many of those who destroy our nations, sit in the front pews of churches, sing the loudest and pray the longest, yet from Monday to Friday, their actions contradict everything they heard on Sunday », Halle lamented.
He warned that such conduct has plunged societies into turmoil, undermining peace, stability and harmony. «We preach peace but practise war, we preach love but practise hate», he observed with regret.
A Call To End Empty Motions of Support and Corrupt Practices in Africa.
Sir Dr Halle chastised the brazen practice of calling the name of the Head of State in every sentence when we speak, saying it is not only a hoax, but a shameless cover-up of moral decadence. «How many of us even respect Rigour and Moralization, democratic principles, and the Rule of Law in Africa and the world? We know the answer.»,
Addressing Cameroonians and Africans in positions of authority, Sir Dr. Halle called for an end to the misuse of “motions of support,” describing them as a smokescreen for incompetence and corruption.
“When you are appointed by a Head of State, you share through him in carrying the mandate of the people. Your duty is to improve their lives and build common wealth—not to organise homecomings and endless motions of support,” he stressed.
While acknowledging Africa’s vast human capital, Halle cautioned that academic excellence without morality and spirituality, is dangerous and unsustainable.

A Plea for Repentance, Patriotism and Truth
Looking ahead to 2026, Sir Dr. Halle urged Africans to cleanse their minds and hearts, abandon greed, tribalism, mercantilism, nepotism, megalomania, favouritism and corruption, and return to the values of accountability, transparency and selfless service. He called on citizens to live and work with the awareness, that one day, they will each be accountable to God. He urged both public and private sector actors to leave legacies worthy of emulation.
On the security front, the international Crusader for Peace and Justice, Sir Dr Halle, expressed hope that the root causes of the Anglophone Crisis and other conflicts should be genuinely addressed, while warning against those who exploit crises for personal gain. For an umpteenth time, he reiterated need for the creation of an executive structure dubbed, « JUSTICE, PEACE AND RECONCILIATION », to address the so many challenges some areas are facing, and honestly / genuinely treating their root causes. He re-echoed an adage « The truth Will Set You Free»..
Halle, the Crusader for Core Moral Values, called on traditional rulers to act with probity, love and modesty, and urged political elites to desist from electoral malpractice and corrupt practices. He admonished men of God to live what they preach, as a majority of them are trojan horses. The international legal luminary equally called on lawyers to thoroughly and properly play their role as watchdogs of society, ensuring that the ethics and canons of the profession are scrupulously respected, for some have lost their dignity and honour.

Sir Dr. Halle challenged Cameroonians to truly live by the national motto, «Peace, Work, Fatherland», and the words of the national anthem: «Thou welfare we win in toil and love and peace ». Then, Halle posed some soul searching questions for Cameroonian to individually examine their consciences : “Are we truly patriotic? Are we our brother’s keeper?”. He prayed that 2026 should mark a decisive turning point towards moral renewal, justice and lasting peace. « With God everything is possible. SHALOM. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026 », Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister NIco Halle, concluded..
