Just Like The Case Of MRC’s Prof Maurice Kamto At The 2018 Presidential Election, FSNC’s Issa Tchiroma Bakary, Declared Himself Winner Of The October 12, 2025 Presidential Election, And Expected The International Community To Recognize His Alleged Victory, Without Concrete Evidences. Former Tchiroma’s Spokesperson, Dr Jean Marie Mbog, Reveals The Initial Plan They Adopted.
The FSNC leader and presidential candidate, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, and his team, faced the same problem as regard finding evidences (PVs) to back up their claim of victory at the October 12, 2025 presidential election, just like happened to MRC’s leader and presidential candidate, Prof Maurice Kamto, at the October 7, 2018 presidential election. Also, just like Kamto’s case at the 2018 presidential election, Tchiroma’s problem at the 2025 presidential election as regard putting together enough evidences, was due to the fact that he did not have polling agents at many polling stations. As a result, he could not get enough return reports commonly known in the country as PVs (‘Proces Verbals’), to present as concrete evidences that he won the election.
It would be recalled that barely a day after the October 7, 2028 presidential election, Prof Kamto declared himself the winner of the election, but then it turned out that he and his team did not have enough PVs to prove their case that he won the election, or to defend their allegation of stolen victory against the Biya regime. The MRC leader however went ahead to filed a complaint of stolen victory against the Biya regime, at the African Union Commission. The Commission asked Kamto to provide concrete evidences to prove that he won the presidential election, and that the Biya regime stole the victory. But then Kamto and his team could find enough authentic PVs to present to the African Un ion Commission, and that was how the matter died.
While calling on the international community to recognize him as the winner of the October 12, 2025 presidential election, Issa Tchiroma Bakary and his team could not formally take the matter to the African Union Commission, to the European Union, or to the United Nations, probably to avoid facing the embarrassment Maurice Kamto faced at the African Union Commission. This was when the Commission, insisted on having the evidences that Kamto used to declare himself, winner of the October 7, 2018 presidential election.

No Collaboration With The Other Opposition Candidates
It should be noted that one of the major problems that bar the way for Maurice Kamto and his team, from finding enough return reports (PVs) to defend his alleged victory at the 2018 presidential election, was that there was no collaboration with the other opposition candidates, especially Cabral Libii Ngue (Operation 11 Million Movement) and Joshua Nambangi Osih (SDF), who had many polling agents, and thus had many PVs, that they could have given to Kamto. The constant ‘bad mouth’ including many false allegations, that many MRC officials and militants were pouring out against Cabral Libii and Joshua Osih, caused a lot of anger in the Libii and Osih camps. And so when Kamto’s men secretly came to request for the PVs of Osih and Libii, the mocking question from their camps was: What did Kamto use, to declare himself, winner of the election? It was the same thing that happened to Issa Tchiroma Bakary at the 2025 presidential election.
The Initial Plan Of Issa Tchiroma And His Team
Dr Jean Marie Mbog, who was Issa Tchiroma’s spokesperson until, they fell out after the October 12, 2025 presidential election, disclosed in a programme over Info Tv in Yaounde, that they initially had a plan which they had hoped, would take care of the issue of polling agents in the Grand South, for the October 12, presidential election. He said when Tchiroma left the Government on June 24, 2025, and they held a meeting to start serious preparations for the presidential election, they at the meeting admitted that they had a big of finding serious polling agents in the Southern part of the country, because their party, FSNC, had not yet been really implanted in this part of the county.

Dr Mbog said they agreed on two things to do, as strategies to try to find some solution to the problem of polling agents in the Southern part of the country, before the October 12 presidential election. One of things they agreed to do, was that they would use the pre-election campaign period, when they would visit some towns in the Southern part of the country, to implant the party by installing some basic organs. Those basic organs would before the presidential election proper, have to provide some polling agents. He said the other strategy they adopted, was that Issa Tchiroma would exploit the good relationship he had with a number of opposition leaders in the Southern part of the country, for the FSNC Party to enter a collaboration deal with some major opposition parties, well implanted in the Southern part of the country.
The collaboration agreement was to be for the FSNC and the other opposition parties to share their polling agents in different parts of the country. That is for example, that FSNC polling agents in the Grand North, would, also represent the SDF presidential candidate, Hon Joshua Osih, at polling stations in the Grand North where the SDF had no polling agents. The SDF would do same for the FSNC candidate, Issa Tchiroma, at the polling stations in the Grand South, where Tchiroma and the FSNC have no polling agent.
Why The Plan Failed
But Dr Jean Marie Mbog, who is also a man of God, said the plan was unfortunately booted aside, when Prof Maurice Kamto’s candidacy for the October 12 presidential was rejected by the Constitutional Council (August 5, 2025), and many MRC officials and militants, for different individual reasons, poured into the FSNC camp to support Issa Tchiroma’s candidacy. Mbog said the MRC officials and militants, and others, that, swamped the Tchiroma camp, pushed aside most of the plans that the party had adopted for the October 12 election, and imposed theirs.

International Community Needs Concrete Evidences
Meanwhile, after the Constitutional Council on October 27, 2025 declared that incumbent candidate, Paul Biya, had won the October 12, 2025 presidential election, Issa Tchiroma called on the international community, including the United Nations and the European Union, not to, stay silent as regard the post –election crisis in Cameroon. He claimed he won the October 12 presidential election. But then to able to convince, and bring, the international community to your side in any dispute over election result, you have to provide clean, concrete or incontrovertible evidences, that you actually won the election.
Also, when a candidate in an election has to call on his supporters to defend an alleged victory, as Issa Tchiroma did on Saturday, October 25, 2025, the first thing he has to do is to provide them with the facts, provide then the concrete evidences, like the return reports (PVs), so that when they are fighting, they should know the truth of what they are fighting to defend. That is, there is supposed to be precision in the result of the October 12, 2025 presidential election, which Tchiroma claims he won.
If the Issa Tchiroma team had put out the entire result of the October 12 presidential election, that is, a compilation of the results from the 31,653 polling stations in the presidential election, the issue would have been clear. This disputed or controversial claim that, the number of registered voters in 18 of the 58 Divisions of Cameroon, constituted 80 % of the national electorates would, for example, not have come up, for us to start hearing words like ‘extrapolation’, and all what not !
