Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister NICO HALLE Observes That There Is A Lot Of Falsehood During Periods Of Elections In African Countries

Halle, An International Election Observer, Regrets That Truth Or Honesty Which Is A Core Moral Value, Is Sacrificed By Many Persons At Elections
Halle Also States Says While ABRAHAM LINCOLN Defined Democracy As, Gov’t Of The People, By The People, And For The People, It Has Unfortunately Become Something Else In Africa
HALLE, A Crusader For Core Moral Values, States that 90 % Of Success In Life, Is Based On One’s Attitude, And Asserts 0That When Somebody Embraces Love, Other Core Moral Values Fall In Place
The international election observer and legal consultant, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, who is also a renowned crusader for peace, Love, justice, honesty, transparency, accountability, transparency and other core moral values, has, drawing from from his rich experience of observing elections in Africa, observed that there is a lot of falsehood in African countries during election periods. “There is falsehood all over the place. Many people pretend to be what, they in reality are not. Many people say what they really do not mean. Not that they do not know what they say, but that they say things that they know so well in their mind, that they will not do. They make promises that they have no intention to fulfill”, he pointed out.
The international election observer made this assertion within the backdrop of crucial elections that are to come up in a number of African countries, within the next few months. It should be noted for example, that a crucial referendum which is already creating a lot of tension, is scheduled to hold in Guinea Conakry in September 2025, that is, next month. Also, crucial presidential elections will hold in two other African counties, Ivory Coast and Cameroon, in October 2025, and unofficial election campaigns are already underway in these two African countries.
As the crusader for core moral values, Nico Halle, pointed out, it is unfortunate that truth or honesty which is a core moral value, is sacrificed by many political actors in African countries, during elections. That is what unfortunately happens all over the African continent, as well as in other continents, during elections. An American artist said it all in a song he released many years ago, when he said that: “HE IS A MAN OF MANY WORDS’, in describing a politician.
“Truth or honesty is a moral value, and is very important. A man who strives to speak the truth or to stand for the truth, no matter the circumstances or period, is a man of integrity. When you tell a lie, or you sin, know that you will be the first victim of your lie or sin”, Halle stressed.
Conference And Book Launch
Meanwhile, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle made the above assertion on Saturday, August 16, 2025, while speaking on the topic, APTITUDE and ATTITUDE, at a joint event comprised of a Conference, and a Book Launch, that took place at Krystal Palace Hotel in Douala. Nico Halle was not only the Chairman of the joint event, but was as well one of the three keynote speakers at the conference. While Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle talked on Aptitude and Attitude as aforementioned, Sheik Mohammed talked on, The Role Of Science and Spirituality in Development, while the Dr Richard Fru talked on Sickness and Holistic Treatment.
The Chief Organizer of the August 16 joint event was Prof AKUHMBOM MAC ANTHONY, a university don, who is the author of the two books that were launched at the occasion: 1) The Science of Mindset Transformation. 2) The Quantum Field Theory of Holistic Human Change.
It should be noted that Prof Akuhmbom Mac Anthony is a Pan Africanist, and is one of the leaders of PANAFES (PAN AFRIKAN) under which is UNAFEE (United Africa For Economic Empowerment). That explains why the keynote speakers like Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, focused their talks on Africa, and not on a particular country. Worthy of note, that the renowned peace crusader, Nico Halle, was a laureate of the PANEFES EXCELENCE AWARD for 2023, and to be precise, he received the award, PAN AFRICAN PEACE ICON.
Aptitude And Attitude
Meanwhile, the crusader for core moral values, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, while talking on the topic, Aptitude And Attitude, said that 90 % of success in life is based on attitude, which is defined by the dictionary as a feeling or opinion about something or someone, or a way of behaving that is caused by this. On the other hand, he stated that aptitude which the dictionary, defines as a natural ability or skill, contributes only 10 % to success in life. Halle asserted that in life, somebody can exploit his aptitude which is his natural ability or skill, to be able to do something. But he explained that if the person unfortunately has a bad attitude, bad character or a bad mindset, it will ruin whatever he tried to do, in the face of the people and the society, and what was probably supposed to be a positive legacy, becomes negative.
Love And Other Core Moral Values
Meanwhile focusing his talk on Attitude (character or mindset) that contributes to 90 % of success in life in different things un life, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle explained that good attitude or good character is built on Core Moral Values, especially Love, which in this context is the Love of Man or Love for Humanity, and above all the Love of God, or better still, the fear of the Lord.
Halle stressed on the importance of Love as a core moral value, asserting that when somebody embraces Love, the other core moral values fall in place. He made mention of a number of other core moral values which include Honesty, Peace, Equity, Accountability, Justice, Patriotism, Transparency, Respect, and so on. He stated for example that when somebody loves humanity, and above all love God, the person will strive to desist from getting involved in negative things or portray negative aspects in character, that are in sharp contrast to core moral values, that go with good attitudes or good character. The negative things include dishonesty, corruption, hate speech, lack of accountability, acting in bad fate, embezzlement, tribalism, xenophobia, lack of self –respect or lack self – discipline, being unpatriotic, and so on.
Corruption And Embezzlement In Africa

The reputed crusader against corruption and embezzlement, Sir, Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, wept that according to regular media reports and other reports, the masses in African countries, which God has blessed with abundant natural resources, generally live in abject poverty and misery, because of the high rate of corruption and embezzlement.
Halle asserted that embezzlement in reality means stealing what rightly belongs to many people. He pointed out that the funds of an association is money that belongs to all members of the association, the funds of an enterprise is money that belongs to the entire enterprise, Church funds belongs to the entire Church or congregation, State funds is money that belongs to all citizens, and that even funds in a family account belongs to all members of the family, and so on. Halle thus said that if somebody embezzle funds, he has thus stolen what belongs to many, or he has deprived either citizens of the country concerned, or members of the association or religious body concerned, of what that funds was supposed to be used for.
“It is because of corruption and embezzlement that Africa, which is the richest continent in terms of natural resources, is paradoxically the poorest. As result of that, we find embarrassing and humiliating situations where Governments in many of our African countries, go cap in hand to borrow money or to beg for aid. They borrow or beg from some countries, which would have instead been borrowing money or begging for aid from Africa countries, if the resources in these African countries were being properly managed through good governance, and not been looted and plundered by a few through corruption and embezzlement, due to bad governance”, Halle explained.
Good And Bad Governance
Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, said though many Governments in Africa prefer just the word governance, he prefers to talk of good and bad governance, to make it clear that there is a way of governance which is good for a country and its people, while there is another way of governance which is bad for a country and its people. As regard good governance, Halle stated for example, that a government that strives for good governance embraces transparency and accountability, adding that, transparency and accountability go together. He said a good government is supposed to be transparent and accountable to the people, like in the management of the State resources, which include the natural resources of the country, for the interest of the country and its people.
As regard bad governance, Halle said it is unfortunate that what governments in many Africa countries practice, is bad governance. He said there is for example no transparency and accountability in the running of such African countries, while ills like corruption and embezzlement of public funds is rife. He said in such African countries, those in power seem to think, that they are superior human beings, and are thus above other citizens, and that the others do not have the right to know what is happening. Thus they consider it offensive, when the others try to raise questions on the way the countries are being run, especially the way State finances and natural resources are managed. He asserted that it is bad governance that has made Africa, that, God blessed with abundant natural resources, to become a poor and backward continent in terms of development, and the laughing stock of the world.
Unpatriotic African Children
Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle minced no words that Africans that hold back the progress or development of their countries through corruption and embezzlement, including those that play the role of accomplices to some foreign crooks to loot and plunder the natural resources of their countries, are the among the worst cases of unpatriotic citizens in their different countries in particular, and in Africa in general. He said ironically, some of these unpatriotic sons of Africa, are the first to brand some citizens as unpatriotic.
Halle stated that unscrupulous contractors in different African countries are also in the category of unpatriotic Africans that, rob their countries and thus the Africa continent, of financial resources. He said a contractor, who with the complicity of some Government officials or acting alone, inflates the bill of a contract awarded by the State, or collects payment from the State for a road construction project, a building project, to do supplies to the State, or to do whatever thing, and does a poor job or supply low quality stuffs so as to make much money, is a thief and an unpatriotic citizen. He said such a contractor has robbed the country and the people, and has as well held back the development of the country in particular, and the African continent in general.
The crusader against corruption and embezzlement, Nico Halle, questioned what moral authority has a citizen of a country that negatively exploits his post to rob the country, and by extent the African continent, to try to give lessons to others on patriotism. He said before somebody talk on patriotism, or accuse somebody of not being patriotic, he should first of all ask himself whether he is patriotic. “Before standing before you in this hall to talk about patriotism in our beloved African continent, which is being ruined by some of our unpatriotic brothers and sisters, I must have first of all asked myself – Nico Halle, are you sure you are a patriotic son of Africa? Nico Halle, are sure you have the moral authority to talk about patriotism?”, Halle said.
Moral Authority / Perfection

The reputed peace crusader, Nico Halle, noted that that he is being frequently invited here and there to give talks on different topics, especially on his different crusades, which include crusading for peace and justice in the society, as well as crusading against corruption, embezzlement, hate speech, human rights abuse, xenophobia and tribalism. He stated that he has for example been a peace crusader for over 30 years, and that it was the first domain in which he started off his crusading mission, and remains one of his main priorities. But Halle said each day that he has to go somewhere or do something in his peace crusading mission for example, he first of all ask himself the question whether he has the moral authority to talk about peace, before he leaves his house in the morning. He said it is the same thing when he has to go out to crusade against corruption, embezzlement, hate speech, tribalism, xenophobia, lack of transparency, lack of accountability, injustice, among others. Halle frowned that there some personalities in the society who for example, promote hate speech behind, but condemn it in public. He insisted that some persons have no moral authority to campaign against hate speech in public, for they are hypocrites.
Halle said he was neither talking about perfection nor boasting of perfection, for perfection, is not of this world. “What we have to do, is strive to follow the path of perfection in core moral values, not that we, as human beings with our human weaknesses, can attain perfection, Perfection is only in heaven”, he explained.
What Democracy Was Supposed To Be, And What It Has Become
Meanwhile talking about democracy in Africa, Barrister Nico Halle first recalled that one of the former Presidents of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln, defined democracy as: “A Government Of The People, By The People, And For The People”. But he regretted that many African countries today, have departed from that definition of democracy. Halle said that in those countries, democracy has unfortunately instead become: “A Government Of Some People, By Some People, And For Some People”.
Respect Of One Another
Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle also talked about the importance of respect, that is, respect for one another or mutual respect, as well as self –respect, He stressed that younger persons have to respect their seniors, and that this aspect is very important in our African culture. He also stressed that senior persons also have the responsibility to teach the young persons or children, respect, through self –respect or self – discipline, so that the young persons can also emulate their good examples. Halle said respect is earned. Halle argued that somebody living an irresponsible life by indulging in ills like corruption, embezzlement, infidelity, swindling, theft, lies telling, drunkenness, prostitution, or operating like a vandal, a gangster, or a fraudster, for example, cannot expect to be respected in the society,
