“One Of The Things I Am Wishing, Is To See A Genuine Recognition By The Powers – That – Be, Of This One Man, NICO HALLE, Who Has Toured The Nooks And Crannies Of This Country, To Preach Peace, To Talk Justice He Has Been Sacrificing So Much, For Others”, DZE – NGWA. “I Do Not Crusade For Peace And Justice, Or Fight Against Corruption, In Expectation Of A Recognition Or Award. But – -” HALLE

Prof Willibroad Dze-Ngwa, the Founding President of the Heritage Institute of Peace and Development Studies Yaounde, Cameroon, has disclosed that he was inspired to become a peace activist, or better still, an activist in peace building, by the reputed International Crusader for Peace and Justice, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle. “This one man, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, who is a household name in Cameroon in peace building, inspired me to engage in a long journey, to follow him, step by step, being an active foot soldier for peace and social justice”, the Peace Activist explained.
Prof Dze – Ngwa, who on Monday, March 15, 2026 led a five man delegation from Yaounde to visit the SIR DR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY in Douala, was speaking to the press at the end of the visit. Worthy of note that one of the members of the delegation, was the Fon of Mbang Village (Mbang Valley) in Bafut Sub-division , Mezam Division of the Northwest Region. Worthy of note also that the SIR DR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, was formally opened to the public a couple of weeks ago.
Sources Of Inspiration
Meanwhile, Prof Dze – Ngwa, said he was thus blessed to have visited the Award Gallery of the great Peace Crusader that inspired him to become a peace activist. He was quite impressed with the content of the SIR DR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, which, is comprised of the record number of 203 national and international awards. He was as well quite happy to observe that many the national and international recognitions and awards that Nico Halle has received, were related to his peace building or his peace crusading mission, as well as his crusade for justice and his fight against corruption. “I thought that it was important for me to come here to visit the Award Gallery, with a five man delegation, so that Sir Dr Nico Halle should continue to inspire me, he should continue to inspire members of my delegation, he should continue to inspire humanity”, Dze – Ngwa explained. He asserted that the personality, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, and the Award Gallery, are great sources of inspiration to peace activists , as well as to all those who love peace and humanity.
Prof Dze –Ngwa added that: “So we are honoured to come and see, and touch the gallery physically, to be more and more inspired, so that we can have a sound sleep in that bed of inspiration. From here, we are leaving not as we came. We are all leaving here be as ambassadors of Nico Halle and his vision. We are going to spread the good news. There is no reason for conflicts. We all need to be ambassadors of peace. Sir Dr Nico Halle is planting the seeds of peace on our souls, and wants our minds and souls to be fertile ground to accommodate the peace that he is preaching”.

Wants To See Genuine Recognition By The Powers –That –Be
As somebody who was one of Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle’s followers or foot soldier in the crusade for peace and social justice, Prof Dze –Ngwa highlighted examples of missions that Halle undertook to reconcile families, groups, traditional authorities, journalists and even pastors that were unfortunately in situations of conflict, and how he preached peace to them, and strongly advised them to strive to shun conflict of any form. He noted that Nico Halle has been a peace advocate for many years in Cameroon and beyond, and that as regard Cameroon, he has tirelessly been taking the noble mission of crusading for peace and justice to all the nooks and crannies of the country.
But Prof Willibroad Dze – Ngwa regretted that while many organizations in the country and the world at large, have been appreciating and encouraging the good work that Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle has been doing for humanity, as seen with the several national and international recognitions and awards he has received, the powers-that-be in Cameroon has so far not reacted. “I think that there is one huge figure in the man, Nico Halle, that the powers –that- be of this country are over-looking. One of the things that I will be wishing, is to see a genuine recognition from the powers – that- be, to this one man, who has toured the nook s and crannies of this country to preach peace; a man who has toured all over Cameroon to talk justice. This personality (Nico Halle) has sacrificed so much, for others”, Prof Dze – Ngwa declared.
Planting Seeds Of Peace
The Peace Activist, Prof Willibroad Dze – Ngwa, showered praises on Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle for the good work he has been constantly doing for humanity and society, through his crusades for peace and justice, as well as high fight against corruption , hate speech and xenophobia, and all the huge sacrifices he has been making for the interest of humanity. “We have here a personality who has been planting the seeds of peace, social justice and reconciliation, across the country and beyond. When there is conflict between traditional rulers for example, you will find Ntumfor Nico Halle arrives to plant the seed of peace, to preach peace and reconciliation. When there is a conflict in an organization, you see him with a message of peace, justice and reconciliation, for the general interest. In fact when there is any serious conflict in the society, he is there to plant seeds of peace, with a message of peace, justice and reconciliation”, Prof Dze-Ngwa asserted
Prof Dze – Ngwa stressed the fact that Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle is a good example for people to emulate. “We think that many people have seen in this man (Nico Halle) an example that we should copy. It is for this reason that he has received many recognitions and awards. Sir Dr Nico Halle deserves to be recognized, for the great work he has over the years been doing for humanity and society. It is time that all of us, Cameroonians, strive to copy what Nico Halle is doing”, he further stressed.
A Heartwarming Visit
Meanwhile, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, while speaking to the media, said he was humbled with the visit of Prof Willibroad Dze-Ngwa and his delegation, to the SIR DR BARRISTER NCIO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, and more so, coming all the way from Yaounde. “For a very busy man like Prof Dze-Ngwa, and his entourage, to have left Yaounde to Douala, to visit the Award Gallery, can only be heartwarming and encouraging”, he said. Halle was full of praises for Prof Dze-Ngwa, for his values, including his dedication to peace building, as seen even with the higher institution which he founded – Heritage Higher Institute of Peace and Development Studies.

Halle observed with regret, that we are living in world, where the more the progress that somebody makes, the more enemies he creates for himself. That is the order of the day in the world today. “But when you have people who are coming to encourage you, to motivate you , to uplift you, to say brother go ahead with what you are doing, you can only be appreciative of their goodwill gesture”, he said.
Crusading For Peace And Justice Is A Risky Mission
The reputed International Peace Crusader, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, who is also fully engaged in the fight against corruption and moral decadence in all its forms,, stated that crusading for peace and justice , just like the fight against corruption, is not given to everybody, because of what each takes. He explained for example, that when somebody is effectively engaged in crusading for peace and justice, or engaged in the fight against corruption and moral decadence in all its forms, he does runs a risk. Halle bluntly stated that in the society, everybody shouts peace, peace, peace in public, but that many are not serious, as what they do behind the scene is a sharp contrast.
“The fact of the matter is that when you are crusading for peace, you are at the same times creating more enemies, because there are many people in the society who take advantage of the absence of peace, or better still , they take advantage of conflict situations, to pull a fast one. They exploit conflict situations one way or the other, to do brisk business. So they instead use a conflict situation to make money”, Nico Halle pointed out. He stated that such people in the society, who are in fact many, do not in reality like peace, and thus consider a peace crusader as am enemy. As for justice, he pointed out that in most cases when there is injustice for example, it means somebody or some people have been favoured to the detriment of others. Those unfairly treated are unhappy, while those favoured are happy. Halle said when somebody is crusading for social justice, those people in the society who benefit from situations of injustice, will definitely not be happy with him.

Same Thing With The Fight Against Corruption
It is the same thing, or even worse with corruption, which include embezzlement of funds. Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, who has tirelessly been waging a war for many years against corruption, bluntly stated that quite a number of Cameroonians are very corrupt. In fact, corrupt to the marrows. “So when you are talking against corruption, you are hurting lots of people, including embezzlers of public funds, and all those who consciously benefit from embezzlement or embezzled money”. He noted that some of these evil fellows, especially embezzlers of public funds, who rob the State and its people of huge sums of money, and thus have lots of stolen money, can decide to hire assassins to secretly go after somebody who frequently hurts them by publicly denouncing corruption, or by fighting against corruption, which includes embezzlement.
“I Do Not Crusade For Peace In Expectation Of Any Award Or Reward”
Meanwhile, talking about the record number of awards he has received as seen in his beautiful Award Gallery, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle first reiterated what he often says, which is the fact that he did not set out to Crusade for Peace and Justice, or to Fight against Corruption, Hate Speech and Xenophobia, in expectation of any award or reward. He pointed out that he has been in peace crusading for more than 30 years today, and has never received a franc from anybody as support, neither has he been expecting anything from anybody.
Nico Halle admitted that peace crusading is an expensive mission, and that over the years he has been sacrificing a lot of financial and material resources for that. But he made it clear he was not complaining, for he was the one that chose the part to work for humanity and the society, to God’s glory. He stressed that he does not do all what he is doing, in expectation for an award or reward, or an appointment. He said if that was the case, he would not have been in peace crusading today for over 30 years. Barrister Halle said what puts food on his table, as well as fund his crusades, is his profession.

But He Appreciates All The Recognitions And Awards He Has Received
But Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle however explained that, it does not mean that, he does not appreciate the national and international recognitions and awards that he has received, which today total a record number of 203 recognitions and awards. He said the awards would have even been more than 203, had he not rejected 12, because he suspected that they had strings attached. He said each of the 203 national and international awards in the SIR DR BARRISTER NICO HALLE Award Gallery were given to him in recognition, or in appreciation of what he has been doing over the years. Halle said he appreciates the awards, and that they serve as an encouragement or an added motivation to him, to continue in his crusading missions for the interest of humanity and the society.
Halle Has Been Doing A Lot Of Things For Humanity That Are Not Recorded
Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle stated that not all what he has been doing for humanity in particular, are being recorded. In fact most of the things he does on a daily basis for humanity are not recorded. That has been his decision.
“There are in fact lots of things that I do for humanity, which are not recorded. I do a lot of things for humanity, silently. I am sure that if they were to record all what I have done for humanity, there will be more than 1000 awards”, Nico Halle asserted.

“There Are Millions Of Cameroonians Who Encourage Me”
Meanwhile, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle reiterated that he does not attribute to himself alone the credit for the record number of 203 national and international recognitions and awards he has received. “All those who encourage me, who pray for me, are part of it. There are millions of Cameroonians who encourage me, in what I am doing. That is, in the crusade for peace and justice, and in the fight against corruption, hate speech and xenophobia. These 203 awards, as well as the award gallery, are also for them”.
The reputed International Crusader for Peace and Justice, Nico Halle, stated that he has for many years committed his life to these crusades and fights, and that as long as God Almighty continues to give him the strength, noting will stop him. “I will only stop crusading for peace, and justice, as well as in fighting against corruption, hate speech and xenophobia, the day I will stop breathing. As long as I breathe, this is my platform, and I will stop at nothing. I am praying God Almighty to continue to stand by me, to continue to protect me, for the crusades in which I have been engaged for many years, are very risky missions. But despite the odds, I remain very committed to these missions, for I am doing these not for my personal interest, but for the interest or for the good of humanity, and the society, all to God’s glory”, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle concluded.
