
Fon Dr DOH GANYONGA III is a former Senator as well as a former Senior Lecturer at ENS Bambili

The President of the Republic, Paul Biya, on Friday, July 4, 2025, signed Decree No. 2025 / 281, on the appointment of a member of the Board of Administration of the National Hydrocarbons Corporation, commonly known by the French abbreviation, SNH (‘Societe Nationale des Hydrocarbures’). By that decree which went into effect as from the date of signature, President Biya appointed DOH GANYONGA III as member of the Board of Administration, or better still, Board of Directors of the National Hydrocarbons Corporation – the State company that manage the country’s hydrocarbon products including oil, or better still, petrol. According to the Presidential Decree, DOH GANYONGA III has been appointed into the Board of Administration of SNH, as “Personality designated by the President of the Republic”.
Worth noting that DOH GANYONGA III mentioned in that presidential decree as having been appointed Board Member of SNH, is the First Class Fon of Bali Nyonga in Mezam Division, Northwest Region of Cameroon. Fon Ganyonga is active in politics, and is in fact a member of the Central Committee of the ruling CPDM. This is not his first appointment by the President of the Republic. In 2013, Fon Dr Ganyonga III was appointed Senator by President Biya. At the end of his first five year mandate, he was reappointed Senator by the President for the second mandate in 2018. That mandate ended in 2023. It should be recalled that Fon Dr DOH GANYONGA III, was at one time a senior lecturer at ‘Ecole Normale Superieur’, ENS Bambili.
Meanwhile, according to the July 4, 2025 presidential decree, Fon DOH GANYONGA III replaced El Hadj LAWAN BAKO in the Board of Administration of SNH. Coincidentally, Fon DOH GANYONGA III and El Hadj LAWAN BAKO, have a very close relationship.
