PEACE AND JUSTICE BOTH WALK TOGETHER. PEACE CANNOT HOP ON ONE LIMB, AND SO DOES JUSTICE. BOTH FLOW LIKE A STREAM, LIKE AN UNENDING RIVER”

A Reflection By Rev FONCHAM EZEKIEL, Presbytery Secretary And Parish Pastor (PCC), “On The Profound Sacrifices of Time And Talent By Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister NICO HALLE, As National And International Trotter On Mission For Peace And Justice”.
Rev FONCHAM Asserts That NICO HALLE, And Wife, JUSTINE HALLE, Did Not Set Out In Their Peace Crusading Mission With Awards As Their Utmost Goal. “The Inordinate Quest For Peace Was Their Driving Force. They Set Out To Do All Things, Through Christ, Who Gave Them Strength (Phil. 4:3)”
“A Christian Is One Who Walks In The Footsteps Of CHRIST JESUS, Preaching Peace. A Christian Is One Who Adorns Himself With Virtues And Values That Enhances And Promotes Humanity And Life”.

Rev Pastor Foncham Ezekiel, Presbytery Secretary of the East Mungo South (Presbytery) of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, who is as well the Parish Pastor of PC Bonamoussadi – Douala, has asserted that peace and justice are interwoven, and that things have to be that way, for each of them to be effective. “In James 3:18, we are told that ‘Peacemakers, who sow in peace, reap a harvest of righteousness’. Peace and justice both walk together. One is the other, and the other is the one. Peace cannot hop on one limb, and, so does justice. Both flow like a stream, and like an unending river”, he explains.
Rev Foncham made this assertion in a reflection he presented at the recent dedication of the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY in Bonaberi – Doauala. To be precise, the dedication took place on Friday, September 5, 2025. The theme of his reflection which was in the form of a sermon was: “Our Devotion To Peace”. It was based on the Bible Text: John 14:27. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let them be afraid”.
Over 200 National And International Awards

Worthy of note that at the time of the dedication, the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY contained a record number of 202 national and international awards received by Nico Halle, the renowned Crusader for Peace and Justice, who is also very much engaged in the fight against Corruption, Hate Speech, Embezzlement, Tribalism, Xenophobia and moral decadence in all its forms. It is also worth recalling that the dedication of the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY was done by a college of clergy led by Rev Mary Wose, the Presbytery Secretary of Mungo and Parish Pastor of PC – Bonaberi. Bishop Dr Pius Inobuh Bah was one of the members of the college of clergy.
Profound Sacrifices Of Time And Talent
Meanwhile, Rev Foncham Ezekiel explained that his reflection, which was in the form of a sermon, was not a discourse. “It is rather a brief reflection on the profound sacrifices of time and talent by Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, as both a national and international trotter on mission for world peace. His agenda has not been terrestrial and mundane, but has been well informed by scripture and the Christian values which he very much cherishes”, the man –of – God explained.
Rev Foncham noted that Nico Halle “has served relentlessly, ceaselessly and consistently” in his noble mission as a Crusader for Peace and Justice, for a period of over 30 years. He stated that Nico Halle’s advocacy as a Peace Crusader and a Human Rights Lawyer, has earned him over 200 national and international awards. “This is a world record setting, and all thanks to God for his anointing (of Nico Halle) with wisdom, knowledge, charisma and the spirit of humility and perception. We all agree that his torch light has beamed and shone far and wide, especially in the culture of peace”, Rev Foncham asserted.
Importance Of Durable Peace

Appreciating or saluting the great work that Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle has been doing as a Crusader for Peace and Justice over the years, Rev Foncham Ezekiel was happy to note that Halle’s work has gained admiration, recognition by and from various worthy and noble entities/institutions of homour, globally. “It is because of crusading for peace that Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle has the highest honorary Doctorate from British American Open University in America, as well as the Global Peace Ambassador Award, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious peace crusading advocacy mission”, he added.
The Reverend Pastor stated that the importance of peace in any society or country, cannot be overemphasized, and thus stressed the need for each and everybody to embrace peace, to be devoted to peace. He pointed out that there is a strong link between durable peace and the survival and prosperity of every culture, every society, every economy and every political setting. The man – of – God emphasized the theme, Our Devotion To Peace. “It is about your commitment to peace and mine as well. This call requires all of us to have peace enshrined and engraved in our lives and communities”, Rev Foncham explained, arguing as well that peace is good for everybody. “In peace time we can freely go wherever we want and whenever we want. In peace, you can make neighbourly visits, easily. It is only in peace that tomatoes and Irish potatoes for example, can easily transit from Bamenda to Douala, that, plantains from Tombel and Kumba can easily get to the Douala markets. In peace, you can drive to your offices freely, and have a day’s work in serenity”
Rev Foncham Ezekiel quoted Jesus Christ, as saying – “My peace I give to you, peace I leave with you”. He explained that in other words, Christ is saying to us that he left us with wellbeing and prosperity. “He says he has given us life of satisfaction and contentment, so that we can live in calmness and serenity with one another. Let us be at peace with one another, including the environment in which we live and move, and have our being founded on Christ, the author and perfecter of life”, the Reverend Pastor preached.
“My Greatest Title Is Christian”

Rev Foncham hailed Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, who despite the over 200 national and international awards, that he has received as recognitions for all he has been doing over the years in his humanitarian mission on earth, which include a doctorate degree (honoris causa) from the prestigious British American Open University, yet still insist that his greatest title is CHRISTIAN. “A Christian is one who walks in the footstep of Christ Jesus preaching peace. A Christian is one who adorns himself or herself with virtues and values that enhance and promote humanity and life. Peace is a virtue. Peace is what every human being needs to devote to, in doing and living”, Rev Foncham explained. He added that peace entails wellbeing – holiness, prosperity – commitment and satisfaction. “Peace is calm, serenity both bodily and in spirit”, he said.
Rev Foncham observed that the name of the huge and beautiful building, part of which host the Nico Halle & Co Law Firm and to which is attached the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRSITER NIC HALLE AWARD GALLERY, is named, SHALOM Building, and is owned by Mr and Mrs Halle. “Shalom is the Hebrew word for Peace. It tells us that, all that is about this house is peaceful. Those who do gainful work in this building, are called to live a life of peace”, the man – of – God stated. It should be noted that the Shalom Building which is owned by Nico Halle and wife, Justine Halle, was dedicated by then Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Rev Dr Nyasako – Ni – Nku (now of blessed memory).
A Life Dedicated To Working For Peace

Meanwhile, Rev Pastor Foncham Ezekiel said away from litigation, the Barrister at Law and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Cameroon, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle has lived a lifetime career of working for peace across the globe. “Working to build peace in human communities is honourable and worthy of all efforts. Peace is noble, worthy, durable and splendid in all forms”, the man –of – God asserted.
Rev Foncham cited a reflection that Martin Luther King Jr made on his life. He said reflecting on his life in a sermon, Martin Luther King Jr, said he did not want to be remembered for all the titles he gained, not even the Nobel Peace Prize. “I want to be remembered as a man who tried to love somebody, a man who tried to feed the hungry, who tried to cloth the naked”, he quoted Martin Luther King Jr as having said.
The Greatness Of Sir Dr Numfor Barrister Nico Halle
Rev Pastor Ezekiel, the Presbytery Secretary of East Mungo South and Parish Pastor of PC Bonamoussadi – Douala, minced no words that Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle is a great man. He explained, as well as asserted that “greatness is found in humble, distinctive, honourable, dignifying service to humanity and the glorifying of God through Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit”.
The man –of – God stated that when Nico Halle , with the unflinching and unalloyed support of his dear wife, Justine Halle, humbly set out on the crusading mission for peace and justice, they did not have awards in their minds, for that was not their objective. “Our Chief Celebrant today, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, and Dame, Justine Halle, did not set out for the awards which are being dedicated as their utmost goal. The inordinate quest for peace was their driving force. They set out to do all things through Christ who gave them strength” (Phil. 4:3), he asserted,
Rev Foncham also quoted Matt 6: 33, which says that seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you. And so the over 200 national and international awards that Sir Dr Ntumfor Nico Halle has received, and which are in the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, that was dedicated on that blessed day, Friday, September 5, 2025, are rewards to Halle for doing God’s work through his peace crusading mission, through Crusading for Justice, through fighting against Corruption, Embezzlement, Hate Speech and Xenophobia, through his several humanitarian works. “Jesus Christ incarnates peace because He is the Prince of Peace. He is the kingdom of peace. So all who devote themselves to work for Peace and Righteousness, will have all other things given”, Rev Foncham said.
Beacon Of Peace
In conclusion, Rev Foncham made a strong call on the several personalities and other persons that attended the ceremony to dedicate the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY: “Let us go forth today from here like a Beacon of Peace to the world. As we celebrate and dedicate this award gallery (SR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE WARD GALLERY), let’s pray that the peace of God which surpasses all understandings, roll in our hearts and minds. Let peace roll on our lives today”.
