Outgoing British High Commissioner And Transport Minister Review Bilateral Relations Between Cameroon And The UK In Transport Domain

The British High Commissioner to Cameroon, HE BARRY LOWEN, who is at the end of his tenure of office in the country, on Thursday, August 29, 2024, visited the Ministry of Transport in the nation’s capital, Yaounde, to bid farewell to Transport Minister, JEAN ERNEST MASSENA NGALLE BIBEHE. During the visit, the two men seized the opportunity to review the bilateral relations between their two countries in the domain of transport.

Bilateral Cooperation: HE Barry Lowen Bids Farewell To The Minister Of Transport.

Having come to the end of his tenure of office in Cameroon, the British High Commissioner to Cameroon, HE Barry Lowen, was in the Ministry of Transport on August 29, 2024, with a good bye message for Minister Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe.

To receive the British statesman, the following close collaborators of the Minister of Transport were rallied: Technical Adviser No. 1, representative of the Director of Maritime Affairs and Inland Waters and Civil Aviation, Heads of Follow up, Translation and Communication Units.

The departure audience was an opportunity for the two statesmen to review bilateral relations between Cameroon and the United Kingdom in the domains of transport. The remarks were positive and the common ground remained registration of Cameroonian vessels floating illegally. On this point, a meeting of experts was suggested, which will produce an eminent solution, to add to the other actions already being implemented. The meeting of experts will equally brainstorm on other axes of cooperation.

At the end of the exchange, HE BARRY LOWEN commended Minister Jean Ernest Massena NGALLE BIBEHE’s hospitality and constant availability, and concluded that he is leaving Cameroon with a great valorization of the existing cooperation. As always, Minister Jean Ernest Massena NGALLE BIBEHE vouched his availability to work with HE BARRY LOWEN”s successor, for the continuous growth of bilateral ties between Cameroon and United Kingdom, in the sector of transport.
