The President of Cameroon’s National Communication Council (NCC), Joe Chebongkeng Kalabubse, Veteran Journalist and former President of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC), has asserted that the Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle Award Gallery in the nation’s economic capital, Douala, is a source of Inspiration as well as an encouragement to  people who contribute to public life.

Speaking during a recent visit to the award gallery, the NCC Boss, Joe Chebongkeng, who was accompanied by some of his close collaborators including the Secretary General of the Council, disclosed that, he has a lot of admiration for the International Peace Crusader, Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor  Nico Halle, who is also engaged in the fight against moral decadence in all its forms. “There are a lot of lessons to learn from what Nico Halle is contributing to our society, and one of them is uprightness in public life, and resilience in what you believe in, and persisting in trying to pass across a message, whatever the circumstances”,  he said.

As regard the over 200 national and international recognitions and awards, that Ncio Halle has received for  his Crusade for Peace and Justice, and his Fight against Corruption, Hate Speech and Xenophobia over the years, which are found in the award gallery,  Chebongkeng  said he looked at those achievements with much admiration. “In visiting these achievements, I look at them with so much admiration, because no matter the sources, the groups that gave them definitely saw something which distinguishes, or something outstanding, in this personality, and that was why they gave him the awards. So congratulations to my dear brother and friend, Barrister Nico Halle”, he concluded.

“I Will Continue To Crusade For Peace, And To Fight Against Corruption — – – -“

Speaking at the occasion, Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle, pointed out that Joe Chebongkeng, the veteran journalist and former President of the National Communication Council, came for the visit as a brother and friend, with whom he has had a wonderful relationship for more than 25 years. “His coning to visit the award gallery is heartwarming, it is a big blessing and it is encouraging”, Halle said.

The International Peace Crusader, Nico Halle, once more repeated what he has been saying, that the award gallery does not belong to him. “It belongs to all Cameroonians, to all Africans, to the world. The gallery has awards from across the world.  So it is global. I can only thank God that the things I do are seen and appreciated by people. That people see them and are moved.  I thus consider the over 200 national and international recognitions and awards, as encouragement for me to continue in what I am doing for humanity and the society”, Halle stated.

Nico Halle assured that: “I will continue to crusade for peace and justice, and to fight against corruption, embezzlement, hate speech and xenophobia, in which I have been engaged for over 30 years.

Those Who Destroy Others

The International Peace Crusader, Nico Halle, said what is happening in the Middle East – the wars or the killings – makes his heart bleeds. He said it is so shameful that some countries have power, but instead of using that power to bless others, they are instead using the power to kill or eliminate to others.  “The bombardments are unnecessary. Any killing, anywhere, is unacceptable. These are God’s children. Nobody has the right to take a soul. Many people in the Middle East have become orphans, widows or widowers, because of the wars or killings. Those who kill think they have the power to destroy others.  They don’t know that in life, the moment you destroy somebody, you have destroyed yourself too. That, the destruction, will destroy you as well. The Law of Karma never jokes”, the Peace Crusader warned.

Nico Halle stressed the importance of genuine peace to humanity, and strongly condemned war for whatever reason. “As I earlier said, killing is bad. Nothing can justify the taking away of human life. We need peace which is the most precious asset for a human being,  not only in Africa, not only Europe, not only in North and South America, not only in Asia, but all over the world”, he emphasized. “My crusade for peace is non- negotiable, because peace is the most precious asset for man, for a society, for a nation, for a continent, and for the entire world”, Halle added.

Unscrupulous Politics Have Transformed Politics Into Something Else

Meanwhile, Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle was happy to point out that Joe Chebongkeng Kalabubse, is an independent personality; a personality who is not involved in partisan politics. “My brother and friend, Joe Chebongkeng, is not a politician, just like me”.  But Halle who is known to often have a negative view or impression about politics in Cameroon, and many other African countries, however pointed out that politics itself is not bad, but that it is the mentality of many of our politicians that makes politics bad.  Halle noted that not all politicians are bad, and that history even tells us about some genuinely patriotic politicians that were prepared to sacrifice their lives, or who even went to the extent of sacrificing their lives, for the interest of this nation. So he said there are good politicians in Cameroon today, but that unfortunately the good politicians are in the minority, and are being overshadowed by the majority of politicians that are unscrupulous persons. He said these unscrupulous politicians are in reality a big problem to the society, as they do a lot of destruction to the society.

Nico Halle said politics is supposed to be the science of love, the science of peace, the science of development, the science of harmony, the science of growth, and so on. But he regretted that unscrupulous politicians have transformed politics into the science of theft, the science of lies telling, the science of corruption,   the science of killing, the science of embezzlement, the science of looting and plundering their countries’ natural resources, the science of hypocrisy, the science of hatred, the science of infidelity, the science of falsehood, the science of blackmail and backstabbing, and so on.  “This is what unscrupulous politicians have transformed politics into. This is what politics has unfortunately become”, Halle regretted.

Unscrupulous Politicians Who   Pretentiously Look Very Holly While In Church

Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle, who has been engaged in the fight against moral decadence in all its forms for over 30 years today, noted that the same unscrupulous politicians are mostly those who occupy the front seats or pews in the Church on Sundays, pretentiously looking very holy. They ‘generously’ give big sums of money (part of stolen money), as offerings or donations to the Church.  Hear Halle: “On Sundays, these unscrupulous politicians sing the loudest in Church, they pray the loudest in Church, but what these same people do from Mondays to Saturdays, is terrible”.

Nico Halle said on Mondays to Saturdays, these same people embezzle funds, they are involved in corruption, they are involved in manipulations, they are involved in embezzlement, they are behind the hate speech by some members of their communities or parties, they  loot and plunder State resources , and so on. When there is election, they either directly stuff ballot boxes, or they are behind the stuffing of ballot boxes.  “They may think they are smart. No. What perhaps they don’t know, is that our Almighty Father is watching, and they will render accounts for their acts, when the time will come”. Halle warned.
