Talking to the media, Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle said it is always a blessing when personalities like the Mayor of Douala IV Council, Prof Edouard Herve Moby Mpah, take time off their busy schedules to visit the gallery. “We can only be thankful to God. I thank Prof Mayor Edouard Moby Mpah, for the visit. I live in his district. The gallery is in his district. And so it is just normal that the mayor comes to see what he has. As I said earlier, during the working session, the award gallery does not belong to Nico Halle. It belongs to the Douala IV (Bonaberi) Municipality. It belongs to the entire Douala. It belongs to Cameroon. It belongs to Africa. It belongs to the entire world, as the gallery contains awards that are across the board”, the multiple award winner,  Nico Halle, declared.

The International Peace Crusader said the Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle Award Gallery is open to everybody, regardless or irrespective of their religious denominations, their political leanings, their tribes or nationalities. “Come here and be inspired. Come here and pray”, he stretched out an invitation to all God’s children.  The Crusader for Peace and Justice, Nico Halle, who also Fights against Corruption including Embezzlement as well as Fight against Hate Speech and Xenophobia, invited all the media men and women that turned up to cover the event, to be Ambassadors of the Crusade for Peace and Justice,  as well as the for the Fight against Corruption, Hate Speech and Xenophobia, to which he has committed his life for many years today.

The Crusader for Peace and Justice, Sir Dr Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle, reiterated that peace is the most precious asset for a person, a community or society, for a nation, for a continent, and for the world at large. But he emphasized on the fact that peace and justice go together, and that justice in fact comes before peace, though they go together.   He explained for example, that there can be no genuine or real peace in a community, if there is no justice.  He insisted that what some people call peace in such a situation, is fake peace.

“Some Of Us Are Void Of Moral And Spiritual Values”

On the issue of corruption including embezzlement, which is more of a cankerworm in Cameroon, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle first asserted that the country, like most African countries, is blessed by God with huge natural resources for the good of humanity. “Unfortunately, like in most African countries blessed with huge natural resources, we have not been exploiting the natural resources for the good of humanity, because some of us are void of moral and spiritual values. We are more interested in looting and plundering, we are more interested in graft, embezzlement, and what have you! That is why there is high unemployment and poverty, caused by us”, Nico Halle fumed.

Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle explained that when people are appointed or elected into offices, it is to serve the people.  “But unfortunately, instead of serving, some people who are appointed or elected into offices, rather, tend to serve or work for themselves, or better still, to serve their stomachs, than work for humanity and the country.  And when they work for their stomachs, instead of working for humanity and the country, the country cannot grow”, Nico Halle asserted.

Communal Liberalism

Nico Halle cited the book, Communal Liberalism, saying that the content of the book which talks on rigour and moralization, in itself is good, and that the book was supposed to serve as a guideline to Cameroonians, in a bid to avoid laxity, corruption, embezzlement of State funds, and so on.  He rightly pointed out that if the message in the book was being put into practice by Cameroonians, the country would have a different place today, but that unfortunately rigour and moralization have remained a theory.

“Even go to the Bible – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom – That was King Solomon.  Love God with all your heart, with all your strength, with all your soul. If you love, you will not steal. If you love your brothers and sisters, you will not steal what belongs to all of you.  IF you love your country and the people, you will steal what belongs to everybody. The huge resources that God has blessed us with, is supposed to be distributed equitably. This will solve unemployment and poverty”, Nico Halle preached.
