Biography Of Late Mrs Endu nee Eunice Atemafac Fomenky

Mrs Endu nee Eunice Atemafac Fomenky was born at Kombone Mission (along the Kumba – Mbonge road) in Meme Division of the Southwest Region, on November 28, 1984 as Fomenky Eunice Atemafac, to Pa Fomenky Fidelis Ndalekeng (now of blessed memory), and Mama Susana Nju. After her primary education at St Martin’s Catholic School Kombone, Eunice moved on to Government Secondary School Kombone, but later left for Buea to live with the elder brother. In Buea, Eunice first studied at BCBS in Molyko, where she obtained a diploma in computer sciences. After that she entered Inter Comprehensive High School Great Soppo, Buea, where she passed the GCE Ordinary Level (GCE O/L) Interestingly enough Eunice in barely one year (lower Sixth) in the same institution, prepared, wrote and passed the GCE Advanced Level (GCE A/L).

After obtaining her GCE A/L in grand style, Eunice enrolled at the University of Buea in 2007, where she in 2011 graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. In 2015 Eunice gained admission into the State – run Higher Teachers Technical Training College, HTTTC (ENSET) Bambili , in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, and graduated in 2017 with a Professional School Teacher Diploma 11 .  After her graduation, Eunice was first posted to teach at Government Teachers Training College, GTTC, Bangem, Kupe Muanenguba Division in the Southwest Region of Cameroon. In 2020, Eunice was appointed the Resource Person of Education for Sustainable Development in the same institution, and in 2021 she was also appointed as Head of Department of Didactics, Sciences and Technology at the same GTTC Bangem.  In 2022, Eunice was transferred to Government Bilingual Technical High School Limbe, where she worked until that fateful day of Friday, March 14, 2025, when the cold hands of death snatched her in a car accident along the Limbe – Mutengene Highway, while she was returning home after work.

An Active Member Of Many Social, Religious, Community And Cultural Groups

Popularly known as Ewah Atem by family members and close friends, Eunice Atemafac Fomenky got married to Mr ENDU Mathias in a colourful ceremony on the blessed day of March 28, 2010. By then, she was a student at the University of Buea.

Eunice was an active member of many social, religious, community and cultural groups, where due to her credibility she was elected to serve either as Financial Secretary or Treasurer by most of the groups.  Eunice was also for example the Vice President of the Association for Community Awareness (ASCOA), from 2013 – 2017. It should be noted that ASCOA is a non –profit making organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life in underserved communities, as well as promote sustainable development. This shows the humanitarian and development spirit that Eunice had. She was very committed in rendering service to humanity, to God’s glory.

Unfortunately, the cold hands of death snatched Mrs Endu nee Eunice Atemafac Fomenky through a ghastly car accident on the fateful day of Friday, March 14, 2025, while she was returning home after work. And as aforementioned, she will be buried on May 3, 2025. Eunice leaves behind her lovely husband, children, mother, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, in –laws, other family members and uncountable friends and sympathizers, to mourn her.

May the soul of Mrs ENDU nee EUNICE ATEMAFAC FOMENKY, continue to rest in peace

MEANWHILE BELOW IS A  MESSAGE BY THE HEART – BROKEN U.S BASED NDEM NDEHJI PHILIP FOMENKY, TO HER DEPARTED JUNIOR SISTER.

  Safe Journey My Dear Sister

I am still in fantasy and still to come to terms with your shocking and untimely death. You and I spoke that morning when you were leaving the house for work. You cut short the phone call on the grounds that you were running late. You promised me that when you return, you were going to give me more updates. While at work, you sent me two voice messages relating to our discussion. You still emphasized on calling me when you get home. But then!  You never reached home.

You played an immeasurable role in the family; assisting and taking care of your mom, brothers and sisters, and their children. You have left a vacuum that no one,  I repeat and emphasized, NO ONE is going to fill. But since it is the will of God and our ancestors that you join them, I can only say go in peace and remember us to our father, to Mami Tere and others in the family who went before you.  And since you could not have a safe journey on earth on your way from work, I am now wishing you a very safe journey to the world beyond.

May Your Soul Continue To Rest In Perpetual Peace

                               Nkem Ndehnji  P. Fomenky

                                 (Father and Elder Brother)
