Peace Crusader, NICO HALLE, Denounces Destruction Of Lives In Senseless Wars By “Powerful Nations’.

The traditional ruler of Membea – Bokwaongo Village in Buea Sub –division, Fako Division of the Southwest Region of Cameroon, His Majesty Albert Njie Mbonde, has opined that the multiple award winner and International Peace Crusader, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, did the right thing to create the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRSITER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY. “Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle is a good friend of mine. It is an age old story. I know what he does. I know what he had done. I know what he can continue to do for our nation, and especially the youths. I think having this gallery was just the right to do, to immortalize what he has been doing over the years , and make it a good testimony of what great minds can do”, Chief Njie Mbonde has asserted.
The Chief of Membea- Bokkwaongo , HM Albert Njie Mbonde, an ace journalist who works at CRTV Headquarters in Yaounde, was speaking to the media at the end of a visit to the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY located at the SHALOM Building, ‘Ancien Route’ Bonaberi , Douala, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Worthy of note, that the Bokwaongo Chief was accompanied by a powerful entourage comprised of seven notables. Upon his arrival, he and his entourage first had a working session with the host, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, before visiting the award gallery.

The Award Gallery is A Great Initiative
Meanwhile, still on the rightness or correctness of the decision that Nico Halle took to set up the SIR BARRISTER NTUMFOR NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, as well as the importance of the award gallery, Chief Albert Njie Mbonde, added that: “I think this award gallery is very important for our nation which is in quest of regaining its values, many of which have been lost. The peace we used to enjoy is being threatened, so too is the unity and the social cohesion, for which, for a very longtime, we stood as models. In this environment of ours, we need role models, people who can still stand as the torch bearers of what we fundamentally represent as a nation. A nation which is a mosaic of culture, but where people live in harmony, and love one another”.
HM Albert Njie Mbonde said he came in the name of the Membea- Bokwaongo Chiefdom, to stamp their approval for the great initiative undertaken by Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, to create the award gallery, which should definitely be a source of inspiration to all. He added that the visit was also for him and Nico Halle, to recommit themselves to the values that both of them share, and the friendship that they have shared for decades. “And I think that is why I decided not to come alone, so that it doesn’t look like it is something between Njie Mbonde and Nico Halle, but that is an issue of values, which are fundamental to our wellbeing”, he explained.

The Take Home Message
In the above light, Chief Njie Mbonde said his other take home message, was a call for others people to come visit the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRSITER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, as well as a call for others to strive to emulate, some of the efforts being made, sometimes sacrificing the little that one has, for the general good. “All of us need to put our hands together. The problems are there, the crisis situation is there, but all of us need to put our hands together to fundamentally change some of these challenges that we are experiencing”, Chief Njie Mbonde strongly recommended.

“We Have Lots Of IDPs Around”
The traditional ruler of Membea- Bokwaongo, disclosed that during the working session they had, he briefed Nico Halle about the reality of their chiefdom, which he stated is a true testimony of why Buea is called the legendary hospitality. He confirmed the fact that Membea- Bokwaongo Village in Buea Sub-division, is hosting hundreds of internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, that is, persons displaced from some parts of the Northwest and Southwest Regions of the country, because of the ongoing Anglophone Crisis. He said that all is being done by the Palace and the indigenous population that welcomed the IDPs with open hands, to continue to feel at home in Bokwaongo .
Get it from Chief Njie Mbonde, himself: “We have lots of IDPs around. We are trying to make sure that they feel at home, far away from home, and that there is no difference between the host population and the IDP population, that is , the indigenes that we are, and those that have come to seek refuge with us. They are farming, they are doing businesses, and from time to time, the chiefdom or as individuals, when we can help, we do help, in the pious hope that things will get back to normal, and those who want to return to their various villages in other parts of Northwest and Southwest Regions, do so in all dignity and in all integrity. But mind you, I am very sure that if the crisis was to end today, many may not want to go, because of the opportunities and cohesion that is reigning in Membea – Bokwaongo”.

No Gunshot In Bokwaongo Village, Linked To The Anglophone Crisis
The Chief of Bokwaongo, HM Albert Njie Mbonde, added that: “I must say there has been no gunshot in Membea -Bokwaongo linked to the crisis, and we thank God and our ancestors for that. And it is the challenge that I have with the rest of the notables, elders of the village, to keep that momentum of playing host to those who are in need, but also safeguarding the peace and unity that we enjoy”.
Platform Of Spirituality And Morality
Meanwhile, also speaking to the media, the International Peace Crusader, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, said the visit of the Chief of Bokwaongo, HRM Albert Njie Mbonde, and his powerful entourage, could only have been heartwarming and encouraging. He said the powerful entourage of Chief Njie Mbonde, was a clear indication that the people are with him. “No leader leads alone. If you don’t have people around you, you will fail”, he asserted.
Nico Halle, a highly committed Christian and strong advocate for the respect of core moral values, disclosed that during their working session, Chief Njie Mbonde indicated to him that he has a Platform of Spirituality and Morality. “It is so reassuring, heartwarming and encouraging. When I heard you say that, I told myself that you will definitely succeed as a traditional ruler, because you are acting like King Solomon. A traditional ruler is a divine ruler. If a traditional ruler does not bring on board Spirituality and Morality, then he is not there for the interest of his people. Congratulations, Your Majesty”, Halle told Chief Njie Mbonde.
Halle exhorted the Membea – Bokwaongo notables in particular, and the people in general, to continue to support their traditional ruler, Chief Njie Mbonde. “When he succeeds, you have all succeeded. When he fails, you have all failed. No leader leads alone”, he stated.

“The Values That Build” / National Integration
Talking about the values that he and Chief Njie Mbonde do share, as the Chief mentioned earlier, Dr Sir Barrister Nico Halle assured the Chief that he will continue to espouse the values that they share; the values that only build, and not the values that destroy. “As long as I breath, nothing will stop me to continue peace crusading which is my mantra. I will continue to crusade for justice that goes hand – in – hand with peace, for there can be no genuine peace in the society, if there is no justice. I will continue to fight against corruption, including embezzlement, which has destroyed the fabric of our nation, and has impoverished millions of Cameroonians. I will of course continue to fight against hate speech and xenophobia”, Nico Halle assured.

The International Peace Crusader saluted the efforts that the Chief, notables and people of Membea- Bokwaongo have been doing to promote national integration and unity between the Cameroonian people, as seen in the hundreds of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from some parts of the Northwest and Southwest Regions, that have been embraced by the people of Bokaongo . He said it was also a testimony that the Bokwaongo Chiefdom is law abiding. To those Cameroonians who are hostile against other Cameroonians who settle in their areas, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle warned that nobody has the right to tell another Cameroonian not to live here or there. “The Constitution of the country is clear that each and every Cameroonian has to right to live anywhere in the country. And so if you are in any part of this nation, not willing to have people from other parts of the nation, then you are violating the Constitution of the land”, Halle further warned.
Global Peace Awards

Meanwhile, the multiple -award winner and reputed International Peace Crusader, Nico Halle, pointed that the visit of the Chief of Membea – Bokwaongo , His Majesty Albert Njie Mbonde, and members of his entourage to the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, was being made at a time that the world is turned upside down, because of senseless wars. “As a Peace Crusader, I am definitely very troubled about what is happening in the world, with wars and destructions of human lives here and there”, he wept. It should be noted that as an International Peace Crusader, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle’s peace crusading mission goes beyond Cameroon, and that is why some of the record number of 203 national and international recognitions and awards that he has received, and which can be found in the award gallery, are global peace awards.

Destruction Of Human Lives In Senseless Wars
Meanwhile, the International Peace Crusader said when he watches TV or reads news on what has been happening between Russia and Ukraine in the last few years (the Russian – Ukrainian War), as well as the war that has been ranging in the last few weeks in the Middle East between the United States and Israel on the one side, against Iran, and also what has happened in the last few years in Gaza, the situation is so devastating to him as Peace Crusader. “Thousands of human lives, God’s creation, have been destroyed in these senseless wars or fights. As we speak, people are dying. My heart bleeds when I see what is happening”, Nico Halle wept.
“Why do you place people in harm’s way? Why do you place God’s children, God’s creation, in harm’s way? Always trying to rock the boat! What do you benefit from being the most powerful nation, when you have destroyed millions of God’s creation? What do you benefit from being the most powerful, when you are bringing pains to families all over the World?”, the International Peace Crusader, Nico Halle, questioned.

What Is The UN Security Council, Doing?
The International Peace Crusader, Sir Dr Barrister Nico Halle, questioned what the Security Council of the United Nations, the African Union, and the European Union are doing, to try to see that the carnage ends. As regard the Un Security Council in particular, Halle said he has repeatedly asked the question as to what it is doing, because the Security Council of the United Nations is supposed to be the gendarme that ensures that peace reigns in the world. “All these so called big powers, you don’t become big by destroying people”, Halle lashed out. Also, Halle said when he watches TV and sees the destruction that is being done to infrastructures, buildings and so on in countries like Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, and Ukraine in particular by the wars, he ask himself how many years would it will take to rebuild, and why were they destroyed in the first place.
