Bridge Between Garanti Express And Vatican Express In BAMENDA Central Town, To Be Demolished As From Thursday, January 15, 2026 For Reconstruction.

BUNS Enterprise, a major road construction company in the country, which is currently rehabilitating or reconstructing the badly broken road network in Bamenda, Northwest Regional Headquarters, has in a communiqué informed the public that the bridge between Garanti Express and Vatican Express Agencies in Central Town, will be destroyed as from Thursday, January 15, 2026 for reconstruction, which is estimated to last two months.
An excerpt of the communiqué signed by Project Director, NGONG Ignatius TEH, reads:
“The public is hereby informed that the bridge located between Garanti Express and Vatican Express, will be demolished starting Thursday, January 15, 2026, as part of ongoing urban crossing infrastructure works in Bamenda town.
Due to this operation, traffic on the section of this section will be temporary interrupted. Road users coming from the Miss Ngeng Junction and heading towards City Chemist Roundabout are advised to use the detour via Veterinary Junction towards Ayaba street
The reconstruction works will last for an estimated two (02) months, after which the bridge will be reopened to traffic at the end of the reconstruction phase”.
BUNS Enterprise has kindly requested all road users to respect the temporary traffic signs put in place, follow the indicated detour routes, and exercise caution when driving in the area.
