National President and presidential candidate of PCRN, Cabral Libii Ngue

Bello Bouba Says What Happened In Ebolowa Can Not Silence The Message Of Hope And Change

Bello Bouba Maigari,  the National President of UNDP and  the  party’s candidate for the October 12, 2025 presidential election, was on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 blocked from campaigning in Ebolowa, the regional headquarters of President Biya’s South  Region.  Worth noting that the former senior member of government, Bello Bouba Maigari, was accompanied in the Ebolowa trip, by Barrister Akere Tabeng Muna and Ateki Seta Caxton, who last weekend both withdrew their candidacies for the October 12 presidential election, to support his candidacy. According to Yahya Bello, one of the communication officers of Bello Bouba Maigari’s campaign, the UNDP leader and presidential candidate, and members of his national campaign team, were first blocked at the entrance of Ebolowa. They however succeeded to force their way through.  Then Bengo Hotel where they lodged was encircled by security forces. When they later tried to get into the central town of Ebolowa, they saw that all access roads had been barricaded by security forces. The plan that was established by Bello Bouba’s campaign team was that the caravan would first make a tour of Ebolowa town for the presidential candidate to commune with the local population, before getting to the venue of the meeting with militants and sympathizers. But with all the access roads to the central town, blocked to Bello Bouba and his entourage, that, could not happen. Access to the venue of the planned rally, was also blocked, and the venue itself locked. According to Bello Bouba’s communication officer, the UNDP presidential candidate and his entourage were thus forced to leave Ebolowa without holding the planned campaign rally. However Bello Bouba and his team courageously managed to hold an unplanned rally in a small village outside Ebolowa, along the Akom 2 – Kribi road.

Bello Bouba Maigari

Meanwhile, in his reaction to the incident that happened in Ebolowa on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Bello Bouba has told supporters and sympathizers that: “Democracy  in Cameroon has been reduced to a mere slogan,  but this must change. The regime may fight the opposition with every tool of repression, yet together with Akere and Ateki, our collation will defeat them on October 12. Even in Ebolowa, where our meeting was denied, roads barricaded, and the venue obstructed, our message cannot be silenced”.

Who Was Behind The Plot To Sabotage The Planned Mega Rally To Launch Cabral Libii”s Campaign In Douala?

The PCRN announced some weeks back, that the party would organize a mega rally in the country’s economic capital, Douala, on September 28, 2025, to official launch the campaign of its presidential candidate, Hon Cabral Libii Ngue, who is also the National President of the party.  It should be noted that Cabral Libii whose followers are predominantly youths, has a large following in Douala.  Meanwhile by the time  Cabral Libii arrived Douala in the morning of Saturday, September 27, 2025 to honour a rendezvous with Balafon TV/Radio,  ahead of his campaign launch the next day,  the party’s local officials that had been struggling  since August to secure a place for the mega rally, had not yet succeeded to  get a venue. There was apparently a ‘high instruction’ from somewhere as Hon Cabral Libii himself said over Balafon Tv, to sabotage his campaign launch in Douala.  Cabral Libii who was accompanied to  Balafon Tv by over a dozen PCRN officials, disclosed that the party officials in Douala had mobilized since August to secure a place, had things had not worked, as the managements of all  the  playgrounds or venues that they applied to use,  gave fake excuses to deny them the  venues. Even when PCRN officials in Douala succeeded to secure a venue at the outskirt of the town, and paid for it, they were later told that another party had earlier paid to use the playground on the same Sunday, September 28. That was spurious.

Speaking over Balafon Tv on Saturday, September 27, Cabral Libii stated that PCRN was neither an illegal party, nor was his candidacy for the October 12 presidential election, an illegal one, as it was validated by both Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), and the Constitutional Council.  Cabral Libii said Douala is part of Cameroon, and that Cameroon belongs to all Cameroonians, and vowed that come sun or rain,  PCRN would launch  its  planned campaign  in Douala on September 28, He said any little empty space that they would see, be it besides the road, they would go ahead with their campaign launch, and let anything happen.

Bad Example That Continues, To Come From President Biya’s South Region

Head of State and National President of the CPDM, Paul Biya

The scandalous incident that occurred on September 30, 2025 when the UNDP leader and presidential candidate, Bello Bouba Maigari, former senior member of the Biya government, was blocked from entering Ebolowa town, for a campaign visit, was not unprecedented in President Biya’s South Region. A delegation from Maurice Kamto’s MRC was at one time blocked from entering Ebolowa. The National Chairman of the SDF, Hon Joshua Osih, and his entourage, were also at one time blocked from entering a locality in President Biya’s South Region. The difference between the past incidents and what happened to Bello Bouba and his campaign team on September 30, is that as regards the past incidents, the roads were blocked by thugs recruited for the operations by  some unscrupulous CPDM  elites of  the South Region,  who talk national unity and national integration in public, but practice exclusion behind the scene.  – Preach virtue and practice vice.  As regard the September 30 incident where all access roads to Ebolowa central town were blocked to Bello Bouba and his entourage, the barricades were mounted by elements of the State security services. It should be noted that with the past incidents, they all each ended without the CPDM elites of the different localities being indicted for what happened. Rather, the thugs always ended up being termed ‘unidentified individuals’. But as regard Bello Bouba’s case, the roads were blocked by State security forces and not by ‘unidentified individuals’, and so there has to be explanation, as to why what happened, happened.

Meanwhile, whatever will be the official explanation, the September 30 incident in Ebolowa, adds to the number of cases, whereby some politicians from other parts of the country, are being blocked from entering some parts of the South Region, for their political activities. It is ironical, inadmissible and scandalous that President Biya should be giving ‘lectures’ or swearing  to Cameroonians about national unity and national integration, while the people of his region, or to be precise, elites of his CPDM Party in his South Region, should be practicing the politics of exclusion, and worst  still, doing so with Impunity.

Why Issa Tchiroma Had To Leave Yagoua For Chad, Before Moving To Kousseri

Issa Tchiroma Bakary

After launching his official campaign for the October 12 , 2025  presidential election in Yagoua, Mayo Danay Division in  the Far North Region on Tuesday, September 30,  the next campaign stop of  the presidential candidate of   FSNC, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, was scheduled to be in Kousseri in the  Logone and Chari Division,  the next day (Wednesday, October 1, 2025).   Worth noting that Tchiroma was accompanied among others by Prof Aba’a Oyono, Special Adviser to one of the frontline opposition leader, Maurice Kamto, who endorsed  Tchiroma’s candidacy, since Kamto is not a candidate at the October 12  presidential election. Meanwhile, after the campaign rally in Yagoua, Tchiroma and Aba’a Oyono as well as some members of his national campaign team, in the evening travelled to  Djamena in neighbouring Chad, where they spent the night, and left the next morning for Kousseri. There have been lots of questions and speculations in the social media, as to why a presidential candidate (Tchiroma) should first travel to neighbouring Chad, before going to Kousseri, with some people describing the act as a scandal. However from findings carried out by The Mentor News, to question somebody with a vehicle why he decided to travel from Yagoua  to Kousseri through Chad, is like to question somebody why he traveled from Mamfe to Akwaya  through Nigeria.

From Yagoua, the normal road to take to get to Kousseri, would have been to go through Longone Birni Sub –division in Logone and Chari Division. Just that there is no bridge over a river in Logone Birni. The river spreads out so wide that it needs a long bridge, and the regime of Great Achievement has not been able to do that in the over four decades it has been in power. Suffice to say there are two ways to rapidly get to Kousseri from Yagoua.  If you have to go by public transport vehicle, you first  travel from Yagoua to Logone Birni,  then enter a boat which takes you across the river, and then you take another  vehicle  to Kousseir. But if you are travelling with a private vehicle, you have to leave Yagoua for the Chadian capital, Djamena, which is some two hour drive, and then then cross back to Cameroon though another road. Djamena – Kousseri in a private vehicle is less than an hour drive. Another alternative will be to leave Yagoua in the Mayo Danay Division, travel to the Far North regional headquarters, Maroua, in Daimare Division, and then heads for Mora,  then on to Waza and finally to Kousseri. But that will be a very long and tiring journey. The Maroua – Kousseri road is about 200 km, and the state of the road as often seen on Tv , is really bad,  and  many people inthis rainy season period takes  days to travel  from Maroua to Koiusseri in small vehicles. So what Issa Tchiroma did by travelling from Yagaoua to Kousseri through neighbouring Chad, is what many Cameroonians in that of the country do on a daily basis, jut that the social media does not see them , since they are ordinary people.

Bad Example That Comes From Prime Minister Dion Ngute’s Ndian Division

Prime Minister Chief Dr Joseph Dion Nguge

Another bad example is coming from Prime Minister Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute’s Ndian Division, where a reign of terror has been launched against opposition militants, precisely militants of the frontline opposition party, the SDF, in the countdown to the October 12, 2025 presidential election.  According to an SDF press release signed by the National Secretary for Communication, Henry Kejang, that was issued on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, a total of 12 SDF militants of the party have been incarcerated in Mundemba, the Divisional Headquarters of Ndian, for having dared to paste the posters of their party’s candidate for the October 12 presidential election, Chief Hon Joshua Nambangi Osih, who is also a son of Ndain Division.  “These comrades are currently being held at the Mundemba Public Security Station, where credible reports indicate they are being subjected to torture. In addition, other militants across the Ndian Division are facing harassment and intimidation, forcing some into hiding”, the SDF press release disclosed.  “This shameful act of political intimidation is an affront to democracy and a calculated attempt to disenfranchise the SDF in the most critical election of our nation’s history. It is particularly alarming that such repression is being carried out at the time when fragile peace is slowly returning to this region after nine painful years of conflict. To jeopardize this hard –won calm with unlawful arrest and intimidation is reckless, dangerous and intolerable”, the release adds. The SDF has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all its militants. “Let it be known that the SDF will not tolerate such undemocratic practices, and calls on the national and international community, human rights organization , and all lovers of justice to hold the perpetrators accountable”, the SDF press release further stated.

All these undemocratic and   acts  are because there are people in, or from, Ndian Division, who are scheming to once more deceive the country at the October 12 presidential election, that the Prime Minister’s Nidian Division voted 100 % for President Biya. That is why a reign of terror has been launched, to try to use all means possible to suppress the SDF in Ndian Division ahead of the presidential election. CPDM officials and militants have flooded the whole place with the  posters of their party’s presidential candidate, Paul Biya, but consider it a crime that the  frontline opposition party, the SDF, wants to paste the posters of their own presidential candidate.   Tomorrow Prime Minister Dion Ngute,  will go to a Commonwealth Conference for Heads of States and Governments, and swear that Cameroon is a democracy. But as UNDP’s presidential candidate told his supporters and sympathizers following the incident that occurred in Ebolowa on Tuesday, September 30, 2025: ”Democracy in Cameroon has been reduced to a mere slogan”.

How CICAM, CAMTEL, ONIES Etc, Refuse To Give Out Their Playgrounds, To Cabral Libii’s PCRN.

MPs of the PCRN Party

There is no doubt that the ideal place where Cabral Libii’s PCRN had love to hold its mega rally for the official campaign launch in Douala on September 28, was a playground known as ‘Stade CICAM’, which is owned bya State company, CICAM. That playground is close to the Douala University. It should be noted that Cabral Libii’s followers are predominantly youths, including students. It would also be recalled that Cabral Libii’s campaign rally in Douala at the 2018 presidential election, that pulled a mammoth crowd, took place at ‘Stade CICAM’.   Last August, PCRN officials in Douala contacted the management of the0 CICAM Company, to rent ‘Stade CICAM, for use on Sunday, September 28, 2025, for the party’s campaign launch. But unlike in 2018, the management of CICAM turned round and round, and at the end gave some flimsy excuses to deny giving out the playground to PCRN.

Then Cabral Libii’s PCRN  on September 6, 2025, addressed a correspondence to the Littoral Regional Director of CAMTEL , for the use of  part of the large space  that the  company has close its regional office at Bepanda – Douala. The large space is divided into a number of sections, including a football field or whatever. That section of space, that is the field, that PCRM demanded, is the space that is often rented by associations and companies to organize trade fairs, friendly matches, musical shows, and so on. Meanwhile despite repeated reminders by PCRN, it took 10 long days for CAMTEL to give a response in a correspondence dated September 16. The correspondence was signed by the Littoral Regional Director of Fixed Business Unit at CAMTEL, Issatou Oumarou epse Hamadou Aboubakar. It is approximately translated as:  We regret to inform you that the space in the complex that you have requested has been reserved, for an event, during the same period.  For this reason, we cannot give a favaourable response to your request”. But that was a fat lie, as there was no event at the CAMTEL field on that Sunday, September 28.  Also, if the space had truly been reserved by another group or whatever for use on that Sunday, September 28, CAMTEL would not have waited 10 days, with reminders, to respond to PCRN.

Meanwhile, Cabra Libii’s PCRN also addressed a correspondence to the State owned National Sports Facilities and Equipment Board commonly known by the French acronym, ONIES, whose Board Chair is a football legend, Bell Joseph Antoine. PCRN wanted to pay for the use of the esplanade of the Reunification Stadium in Douala, for the launch of its campaign for the October 12, 2025 presidential election.  But in a two page correspondence that was addressed to PCRN by the Administrator (Managing Director) of ONIES, Francois Felix Ewane, he rambled and rambled. Suffice to say the response   was not positive. PCRN in desperation even went as far as Youpwe, a quarter in  the outskirt of Douala close to River Wouri, to negotiate for a football field, that belongs to the association of veterans of Youpwe (‘Association des Veterans de Youpwe Football Club’, ASYFC).  In a correspondence that was addressed to PCRN on September 18, 2025,  Etindelle Serges, in charge of the ASYFC field at Youpwe,  expressed  their readiness to give out the playground to the party for use, for its campaign launch on September 28, and stated the conditions, including financial aspect. PCRN immediately paid the money that was demanded. But when some PCRN militants went to Youpwe three days to the planned campaign launch to start preparations, the municipal police suddenly appeared, and pushed them away. The municipal police claimed the playground, though being taken care by the association of veterans, is the property of the council, and that the council had also given out the field to another political party, for use on that Sunday, September 28.  It was another lie to deprive PCRN of a venue to hold its mega rally. No event took place at the filed on that day.

DO Illegally Orders Police To Disrupt SDF Rally In Nkongsamba

SDF National Chairman and presidential candidate, Chief Hon Joshua Osih

There was a standoff between elements of the Police led by a Commissioner, and militants of the SDF in Nkongsamba, who were gathering to receive their party’s leader and presidential candidate, Hon Joshua Nambangi Osih, on a campaign stopover in the Divisional Headquarters of Mungo.  The Police Commissioner who made it clear that the police were acting on the instruction of the DO of Nkongsamba 1, said the SDF Party did not obtain an authorization to hold the rally in the municipality. Some pictures of the standoff between the police and SDF militants, circulated on social media.  Dr Louis Marie Kakdeu, the Campaign Manager of Joshua Osih, stated in a social media post that the DO of Nkongsamba 1 flagrantly violated the provision of the Electoral Law applied during the period of official campaign for the presidential election. The Law is clear that during the two weeks of official campaign, no authorization is needed to organize a campaign rally of any candidate for the presidential election. That is, somebody whose candidacy has been validated by the Constitutional Council.  What the Electoral Law demands, is that when there has to be any of such meetings in a locality, the candidate or his representatives have to notify the local administration, precisely the DO  of the administrative unit.  That notification also enables the DO to put in place the necessary security measures, to see that the meeting, rally, tour of the locality by a campaign caravan, or whatever, takes place without any security problem. The DO of Nkongsamba 1 definitely knows this just too well.  The Campaign Manager of Hon Osih, said the DO of  Nkongsamba 1 was duly notified, that the SDF presidential candidate, will  be in his area for a  rally on that day. But Dr Kakdeu regretted that instead of sending the Forces of Law and Order to come and protect participants at the rally as the demands, the DO instead sent the police to come and disperse the SDF militants who were gathering to receive their presidential candidate, under the fake pretext that an authorization was not obtained for the rally.

The Problem Between The CPDM Mayor Of Nkongsamba 1, And SDF, Is Not Only About The Presidential Election

According to Dr Louis Marie Kakdeu, the Campaign Manager of the SDF presidential candidate, (Hon Joshua Osih), the information the SDF gathered, was that “a certain Oumarou’, was behind the illegal decision that the DO of Nkongsamba took to send policemen, led by a commissioner, to disperse the  SDF militants  that were gathering to receive their presidential candidate.  The ‘certain Oumarou” in question, and who Kakdeu definitely knows well, is a CPDM bigwig who is well known to many in the Francophone part of  the country,  thanks  to his close relationship with the media.  Officially known simply as El Hadj Oumarou, he is the Mayor and CPDM Section President of Nkongsamba 1.   El Hadj Omarou is a rich economic operator in the transport sector (transportation of goods)l, and has been the General Coordinator of  BGFT for many years.

It should be noted that the problem between the CPDM bigwig and the SDF is not only about the presidential election, but rather is more about the municipal and legislative elections, expected to hold next year. SDF has ran the Nkogsamba 1 Council twice, and even though the council is currently in the hands of the CPDM, the nightmare to El Hadj Oumarou in next year’s elections, is to imagine that the SDF can take the council for  the third time. More so, one of the current MPs from that Nkongsamba area is SDF. There is no doubt that one of the things that local SDF officials in Nkongsamba had in mind, while mobilizing militants for the presidential election rally, was that there should be a massive turnout of SDF militants and sympathizers, as a show of force, to send a message to the Mayor Of Nkongsamba 1, that the SDF will be back next year.  El Hadj Oumarou would not let that happened, and got the DO to do what he did.  The DO of Nkongsamba 1 definitely knew that his decision was wrong, and that was why he did not sign any order banning the rally. As to why the DO accepted to do what he did, well, the fact of the matter is that El Hadj Oumarou  is known as somebody  who takes “good care” of local authorities in Nkongsamba,  and so when  such a person puts a problem to the DO,  the DO will try to scratch his back too, even in violation of the Law. That is the Cameroon of Greatness and Hope.

PCRN Finally Held Its Mega Rally On A ‘No Man’s Land’

Hon Cabral Libii Ngue

By midday on Saturday, September 27, 2025, local PCRN officials in Douala that had been combing the city, in a desperate search of an empty space for the party to launch its official presidential election campaign, had identified two areas; one area was at New Bell Quarter, while the other one was behind the Reunification Stadium, precisely at the area commonly known as “Entre Bepanda”.  Both are State land. The local party officials settled for the one behind the Reunification Stadium, because the space at New Bell is near a local market that opens on Sundays. Cabral Libii was informed, and in the late afternoon of that Saturday, he recorded a video at the site with a group of PCRN militants, informing the population of Douala that the PCRN mega rally would hold at that venue in the afternoon of Sunday, September 28. The video was posted on the social media, and it immediately went viral.  PCRN did not obtain authorization from any authority to use that space. As Cabral Libii said, PCRN had, had enough, and was ready for anything.  The local authorities all went silent. They knew the local population was unhappy with the way PCRN, comprised mostly of youths, had been so badly treated, by denying them all the venues they requested to pay and use for their campaign launch.

In the afternoon of Sunday, September 28, that empty land, behind the Reunification Stadium, was transformed into a sea of human beings in yellow PCRN colour. In fact the crowd was large. PCRN officials estimated the turnout as being at least 30,000 people. On the social media, PCRN militants claimed there were more than 50,000.  Whatever the case, the fact is that the heavy turnout at Cabral Libii’s campaign launch, in Douala on September 28, can only be compared to the type of crowd that the emblematic Pioneer National Chairman of the SDF, Ni John Fru Ndi, used to pull in Douala in the 90s.  As regards Cabral Libii’s campaign rally of September 28, 2025, the attempts to sabotage the campaign launch, drew the sympathy of the population of Douala,, and made many people more determined to attend the rally, wherever it had to hold. So the disappointment from the planned sabotage also turned out to be a blessing in another way to the PCRN, and of course, was no good news for those who were behind plan to sabotage the campaign launch of Cabral Libii’s PCRN.

Kah Walla Congratulates Cabral Libii’s PCRN For Fighting For Their Political Rights

Edith Kah Walla

The National President of CPP, Edith Kah Walla, Coordinator of Stand Up For Cameroon movement, has congratulated the PCRN whose leader and presidential candidate Libii Ngue, for being able to daringly hold their mega rally to launch their presidential election campaign in Douala, despite all the intrigues and manipulations that were mounted to tacitly prevent the party from carrying out their campaign launch in Douala. This message is contained in a social media post by Kah Walla. “We Must Always Stand Up For Our Political Rights”, the firebrand politician and activist, Kah Walla, a former councilor of Douala 1 Municipality, concluded her short post. It would be recalled that Kah Walla was a candidate at the 2011 presidential election, and her performance brought honour to the Cameroonian women. But CPP has since decided not to participate in any election in Cameroon with the Biya regime in power, arguing that   it is waste of time for the opposition, considering for example the current Electoral Code, and the composition of the election organizing body whose members are appointed by President Biya. To CPP, there can be no free, fair, transparent, and thus acceptable election in Cameroon, under the current system.

PCRN’s Leader And Presidential Candidate, Cabral Libii, Braves It To Bamenda, On Ghost Town Day

Hon Cabral Libii Ngue

There is no question that the political history of Cameroon will have it, that PCRN’s young leader and presidential candidate, Hon, Cabral Libii Ngue, was the first candidate in a presidential election in the country, to brave  the odds to travel to Bamenda town, not only Bamenda Up Station, on  a ghost town day, for campaign. It also needed great courage for the youthful officials of PCRN in the Northwest Region, to carryout mobilization for the visit of their presidential candidate to Bamenda, on a ghost town day. It happened on Thursday, October 3, 2025. The visit of the presidential candidate to Bamenda was under the protection of the State security service, which was normal. But it must be said, that it requires a presidential candidate, more so of the opposition, to have the heart of a lion, to dare it to Bamenda town (Abakwa), even under tight security, when the ‘almighty Amba’ declares a ghost town.  More so, Cabral Libii looked so relax at the campaign rally which held at the ceremonial ground at the Bamenda Commercial Avenue, He also went and communed with some  traders outside the Bamanda Main Market, who dared left their homes in search  of small money, to be able to put small  food on the tables for their families.

When somebody sent the programme of Cabral Libii;s planned visit to Bamenda, and I shared it on a number of platforms on whatsApp,  the reactions were all that he should not dare.  But the Bassa  guy from Nyong and Kelle Division in the Centre Region dared it, and returned to base in one piece.
