BISHOP OF BUEA, MGR MICHAEL BIBI CLEARS THE AIR ON SOME ISSUES

– The Father George NKEZE affair, the SUSPENSION of two Priests etc

– Disclosed that a matter has been filed against him at the Vatican, and that the complainants want him removed as Bishop of Buea

– Says there is no untouchable in the Buea Diocese

– A serious problem in our main stream Churches today, as seen by The Mentor

The Bishop of Buea, Mgr MICHAEL BIBI, has cleared the air on some allegations that have been making their rounds on the social media, in relation to his management of the Buea Diocese.
These include the Father George NKEZE affair, the SUSPENSION of two Priests who are apparently still in the United States, among other issues. Mgr Bibi has disclosed that there are a number of cases still dragging in court in Cameroon, and that a complaint has even been filed against him at the Vatican, demanding that he be removed as Bishop of Bishop of Buea (SEE VIDEO BELOW).

Says There Is No Big Or Small Fish In Buea Diocese

The Bishop of Buea has made it clear that there is nothing like a big fish or a small fish in the Buea Diocese as some people claim, for everybody is equal.
“THERE IS NO UNTOUCHABLE IN THE DIOCESE OF BUEA. EVEN THE BISHOP IS NOT UNTOUCHABLE”, declares Mgr Bibi, who from all indications is somebody imbued with a strong sense of humility and fairness.

To Mgr Bibi, RIGHT IS RIGHT, and WRONG IS WRONG, no matter the person concern. To the Bishop , Right can never become Wrong because A is concern, just as Wrong can never become Right because B is concern.
Mgr Bibi, especially as a man – of – God, has the responsibility to stand for the truth; to stand for what is right, to teach by example. And from all indications, he is committed to standing for truth, no matter the consequences. These are qualities that Mgr Bibi’s collaborators need to nurture or emulate, for the interest of the Buea Diocese.

Two Categories Of Priests And Pastors

Meanwhile from THE MENTOR’s observation, there is one serious problem in the main stream Churches, that is the Catholic Church, the PCC and the CBC, and perhaps Full Gospel Mission, in our country nowadays.bIt has to do with the Priests and Pastors of these Churches.

In the good old days, there was just one category of Priests and Pastors. People who got into Priesthood or who became Pastors with no other intention than to serve God. To them Priesthood or Pastorship, IS A CALLING, A VOCATION. And that is how it is supposed to be.
These days, we still have this category of Priests and Pastors. Men dedicated to the service of the Lord. These Priests and Pastors strive to live their sermons.

Job Seekers Who Become Priests And Pastors

But there is nowadays another category of Priests and Pastors. With the economic problems and the high unemployment rate that has choked Cameroon in the last few decades, there are some Cameroonians who have become Priests or Pastors not because they want to serve God, but because they see it as a job through which they can make some money.
Before finding their ways into the seminaries, many of them had tried competitive entrance examinations into a number of State owned professional schools but could not make him, perhaps because they did not have money to bribe, or they did not have god fathers in high places. When the opportunity came for them to enter the seminaries, they in desperation grabbed it, even though within them they knew that was where they really belonged.
To this category of Priests or Pastors, there is nothing like theirs being a calling, there is nothing like theirs being a vocation. The seminaries to them were professional schools like all others in the country, and being a Priest or Pastor to them is a profession. When such a Priest or Pastor is delivering a sermon, he thinks he is doing his job. He does not think he has any obligation or commitment to live his sermon. To the person, it is a matter of Christians doing what he says, and what he does.
This category of Priests and Pastors, have their eyes on nothing but money and good living, and so appointments and transfers are serious issues to them, because they want to be where they will be able to make money, and where they will live well.
That is why these days there are scandalous stories here and there of some Priests and Pastors who indulge in societal ills like embezzlement corruption, adultery and all what not. Thank God however that this category of Priests and Pastors are comparatively in the minority. So all in all, it is matter of few bad eggs in a tray, but that of course give a bad name or a bad image to the main stream Churches.
