Ahead Of Next Presidential Election:

More Indications That Atanga Nji’s MINAT Is Behind Plot To Destabilise Cabral Libill And PCRN

– Cabral Libii’s PCRN Congress in Kribi was banned, but Robert Kona given authorization to hold press briefing in Y’de

– The ‘Founding President’ of PCRN, declares Cabral Libii will not be party’s candidate at next presidential election.

– Hon Cabral Libii’s spokesperson says there is nothing like Founding President in PCRN’s Statute

In an article on December 6, 2023 on the conflict that recently erupted between the so called Founding President of the PCRN, Robert Kona, and the National President of the the party, Hon Cabral Libii Ngue, I raised the strong suspicion that the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, is one of those behind the mafia. I recalled that Minister Atanga Nji was behind a similar plot in early 2018, to destabilise the National President of CPP, ahead of the October 7 , 2018 Presidential Election.

Congress Was Scheduled For This Weekend

It would be recalled that the PCRN under the leadership of Hon Cabral Libii, deposited a declaration to hold its first Ordinary Congress in Kribi, South Region, from Decent 15 – 17, 2023. The DO of Kribi II issued a ‘repicisse’, which meant an official authorization for the Congress to hold.
But seven days later, the DO embarrassingj withdrew it, on the the pretext there was ‘dissension’ in the PCRN, and that the Congress would pose a threat to public peace and order. But as THE MENTOR said , the DO of Kribi II withdrew the authorization for the PCRN Congress, on the on the instruction of her hierarchy, most probably the Minister of Territorial Administration , Paul Atanga Nji.
When RFI contacted Minister Atanga Nji on the issue, he tried to justify the decision to withdraw the authorization, saying that the DO of Kribi II was wrong to had issued it in the first place, because there was a disagreement between two people (Robert Kona and Cabral Libii)
over the leadership of the party. He said for one of the parties or sides in the conflict to hold a public meeting, would pose a threat to public peace and order.

Authorization Issued To Robert Kona

Meanwhile, less than two weeks after the authorization that was given to PCRN to hold a congress in Kribi II was withdrawn, the DO of Yaoundé I, Harona Nyandji Ngbatou, issued ‘Revipisee’ No. 533 /RDRP/JO6 – 01/ SP, to “Monsieur Robert Kona, President Fondateur du Parti Camerounais pour la Réconciliation Nationale’, PCRN, to
hold a public meeting, precisely a press briefing, at Djeuga Palace Hotel in Yaounde on December 14, 2023. The DO issued the authorization on December 12, 2023.
As could be seen, the authorization was issued to Robert Kona as the Founding President of the PCRN. But Anne Feconde Noah, the Spokesperson for Hon Cabral Libii, the National President of PCRN, says there is even nothing like Founding President in the Statute of the party.

Instruction From Hierarchy

Meanwhile, there is no doubt that, considering what recently happened to his colleague of Kribi II, the DO of Yaounde I would not have dared to issue the authorization to Robert Kona, if Minister Atanga Nji did not instruct him to do so. This is really scandalous, so shameful of this regime.
This is the problem too when a Minister of Territorial Administration is an official of the ruling party. The person often fails to draw the line between the ministry that is supposed to be neutral, and playing dirty politics as CPDM official. The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, is at the same time the Mezam Divisional Coordinator of the ruling CPDM.

Presidential Election

Meanwhile Robert Kona, accompanied by his lawyer, Barrister Romain Gouame, granted the press briefing at Djeuga Palace Hotel yesterday ( Thursday) December 14, 2023. There was a heavy presence of security elements.
Kona declared at the press briefing that PCRN wound not give its investiture to Cabral Libii at the next presidential election. This of course is the main objective of their plot, which is to try to block or frustrate Cabral Libii who was the revelation of the last presidential election, from running at the next presidential election.
Kona referred to Cabral Libii as ‘locataire’, meaning a tenant. He meant that Cabral Libii only rented PCRN, but that he (Kona) is the landlord . But Cabral Libii’s close collaborators insist that he took over PCRN from Kona, and that there is nothing like being a tenant.
Meanwhile Kona also said that an extra ordinary congress of PCRN will hold in the Grand North, though no date was given for it. It would be recalled that the PCRN was legalised back in 2002, and that by the time that Cabral Libii met Kona in 2019 and struck a deal to take over the party, Kona had never organized a congress of the party. The party had since its creation in 2002 up to 2019, existed more in Kona’s handbag.
Meanwhile some PCRN officials turned up at Djeuga Palace Hotel yesterday, to try to disrupt Kona’s press briefing. But security forces pushed them away.
The PCRN officials accused the Ministry of Territorial Administration of being behind the plot to destabilise the party. So scandalous indeed!
