The representative of the Governor of the Littoral Region, who paid an official visit to SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, located at the imposing SHALOM Building at Bonaberi,  Douala, has asserted  that the gallery serves as a source of inspiration.

Speaking to the media at the end of the visit, the Head of the Department for Regional Development at the Littoral Governor’s Office in Douala, Madam EBUNE NICOLINE, who was the Littoral Governor’s representative on the official visit to the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY, said it was an amazing opportunity for her as well as to those who accompanied her, to witness a gallery containing as many as 203 awards.  “It has never been done anywhere before.  I have never seen or heard about any other award gallery, with this number of awards”.

Talking about the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY being a source of inspiration, the Governor’s representative observed that most of the awards in the gallery were given to Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister NICO HALLE in connection to his peace advocacy or peace crusading mission. The Governor’s representative encouraged all Cameroonians to strive to emulate the good example of Nico Halle, by embracing as well as promoting peace in their own little ways.  According to the Governor’s representative, the President of the Republic, PAUL BIYA, is not only a leader reputed for tenaciously embracing peace, but is as well a great advocate for peace in the society or country, and in the world at large.

The representative of the Littoral Governor, who was full of praises for Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle’s relentless efforts in crusading for peace, as well as for the many national and international awards he has received, declared that: “BARRISTER NICO HALLE IS A NATIONAL TREASURE”.  She asserted that it is thus in the interest of the people and country to preserve the national treasure.

Over Three Decades In Peace Crusading

Meanwhile, on his part, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle expressed gratitude to the Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha  Diboua, for having designated one of his close collaborators to officially  visit the award gallery. He also expressed his deep appreciation to the Governor’s representative and those who accompanied her, on the visit.  As for the record number of national and international awards, distinctions and recognitions he has received, Halle said he cannot take credit alone for all that, and that credit also goes to all people of goodwill that over the years accompanied or encouraged him with their prayers, in his different challenging crusading or advocacy missions. Of course as a committed Christian, Nico Halle said the credit for the over  200 awards goes first to the Almighty God, who is the one that leads  the way in all what he does, to His glory.

As regard his peace crusading mission or peace advocacy, which is a spirit he humbly inherited from his father who was a Man – of – God,  Nico Halle noted that he has been in peace crusading for over three decades today, that  is, for more than 30 years.  He admitted that there are lots of challenges in peace crusading, especially as we are leaving in a society or a world where there are people in families, in associations, in the society, and in the world at large who unfortunately place their selfish interests above general interests, and would not want to embrace or encourage peace, whenever they see that they can exploit violence, hate speech, chaos, disunity or whatever, for their selfish interest s.  But as far as he is concern, Halle said despite all the odds that have come his way in his long peace crusading mission, to which he has so much committed his life and made enormous sacrifices, he has not given up one bit, and will never do so as long he lives, God so willing.

There Can Be No Genuine Peace Without Justice

The reputed International Peace Crusader did not fail to once more  highlight  a related major issue he always brings up in his peace advocacy, which is the assertion that there can be no genuine peace without justice. He explained that peace and justice are in fact interwoven, as they moved in hand.  Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle asserted that when justice is established or instituted between people, in a family, in an association, in the society, between countries, in the world at large, peace naturally follows.  He said as far as he is concern, it makes no sense for anybody to just shout about peace, without taking into consideration justice.  He said any so called peace that does not have justice as the foundation is fake peace, and that for anybody to qualify it as peace is being dishonest.

Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle said when he embarked on his peace crusading mission, and coupled with the fact that he is a lawyer by profession, he soon realized the great need to bring onboard the  crusade for justice, to go hand in glove with  his peace crusading.  And so has since been crusading jointly for Peace and Justice.  Halle explained that his peace advocacy and his advocacy for justice including respect for human rights, as well as other crusades in which he is also deeply engaged like the Fight against Corruption which include Embezzlement, and the Fight against Hate Speech and Xenophobia, are all part of his principles in life as a true Christian, and thus his strong attachment to core moral values.

Nico Halle thus stated that in his advocacy or crusading missions on earth, he does not do anything in expectation of any award or whatever. But he said if an organization for example, in good faith appreciates what he is doing and gives him an award as mark of encouragement, and WITH MO STRING ATTACHED, he too on his part in good faith, accepts the goodwill gesture.  He recalled that he has rejected over a dozen awards, because he either realized or suspected that they had strings attached.

All People Of Goodwill Should Engage In The Fight Against Corruption

Responding to a question on one of his major crusades, which is the fight against corruption, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle said all Cameroonians of goodwill, or better still, patriotic Cameroonians   are supposed to effectively participate in the fight against corruption, which has unfortunately since become like a canker worm in the society.  Halle explained that as a son of Africa, he always prefer to address this issue of corruption which include embezzlement of public funds, at the continental level, for his heart bleeds to see the large majority of the population of several African countries that God has blessed with abundant natural resources, living in abject poverty or misery, because a few persons are illegally grabbing with impunity, what is meant for all. Thus a few people are living in opulence, while the majority is living in abject poverty.

Halle said that the high rate of corruption in any society is supposed to be a major concern to all people of goodwill. He stressed that the fight to curb or off root the ill in the society, cannot be left in the hands of some individuals like him that have committed their lives to fight to moralize society, or in the hands of a few associations or institutions with the mission to fight corruption like the National Commission for the Fight Against Corruption commonly known by the French acronym, CONAC, which has even not been empowered to effectively carryout its good mission.

Africa Has Been Turned Into An Object Of Ridicule

The Anti –graft Crusader and patriotic son of Africa, Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, as usual had very unkind words for embezzlers of public funds. He reiterated that God has blessed most African countries with abundant natural resources, but regretted that a few persons in these countries, through bad governance, continue to grab what belongs to all by the embezzlement of public funds, or the direct looting of natural resources with the complicity of foreign accomplices.  And as a result, in Africa where people were supposed to be living well, if the abundance natural resources were being fairly distributed, there is instead a sharp contrast with a few people living in opulence, while the masses live in abject poverty or misery.  Halle pointed out that it is a very unfortunate situation, that has made Africa to become a laughing stock or an object of ridicule in the world, as many people in other parts of the world cannot understand how the masses in a continent blessed with abundant natural resources, can be languishing in misery or abject poverty.  All these, because of corruption including embezzlement and looting by handfuls of selfish, callous and unpatriotic persons!

A Gesture Of Institutional Recognition And Encouragement

Sir Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle, welcomes the Representative of the Littoral Governor, inside the Award Gallery.

Meanwhile, the official visit of the Representative of the Governor of the Littoral Region to SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY,  has been  unanimously and rightly considered by observers  as the symbolic institutional recognition, appreciation and encouragement of the  outstanding patriot, Sir  Dr Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle,  in his consistent or relentless efforts , including enormous personal sacrifices, in crusading for Peace,  inter- Faith Dialogue, Justice,  Love, and  Good Governance in the  society or country, for many  years now.   Of course, if there is good governance for example, there will be no corruption, including embezzlement of public funds and looting, just as if there is love in the society, there will for example be no hate speech or xenophobia.

SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY Now Opened To The Public

Meanwhile, the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY that was dedicated on the blessed day of Friday, September 5, 2025, during a grand religious event, that saw the participation of Pastors and Bishops from different religious denominations,   could not be immediately opened to the public because of the then upcoming presidential election in the country. The Award Gallery has finally been opened to the public, and without any surprise, it is attracting many people.  As the Representative of the Governor of the Littoral Region rightly said, the SIR DR NTUMFOR BARRISTER NICO HALLE AWARD GALLERY is a source of inspiration.

It should be recalled that the official visit of the Representative of the Littoral Governor to the Award Gallery, came on the heel of the diplomatic visit by the Consul General of Nigeria for the Littoral and West Regions, HE FRANCIS NTUI ENYA.  Worthy of note that one of the first personalities who had the privilege to visit the Award Gallery when it was opened to the public last month, was a prominent member of the Cameroon’s civil society,  Madam ESTHER OMAM,  who is the Director of Reach Out Cameroon, and a prominent independent personality.
