
The Event, Which Will Have As Venue The Bali Nyonga Palace Plaza, Has Been Scheduled For March 28, 2026. The Fon Says The Event Will Also Be An Occasion For Cultural Revival, And Will Thus Be Preceded With The Performance Of Necessary Traditional Rites. BANDECA And The Bali Traditional Council Have Been Requested By The Fon, To Organize The Event.

MRM Dr Doh Ganyionga III of Bali Nyonga, Mezam Division in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, has informed all sons and daughters of the Fondom, that a traditional memorial celebration commonly known as ‘Cry Die’, will be organized for “victims of Covid – 19 pandemic and the crises”, at the Bali Nyonga Palace Plaza on March 28, 2026. This information is contained in a communiqué issued by the Fon. Worthy of note, that a traditional ruler in the Northwest Region of Cameroon, where the people are tenaciously attached to their culture and tradition, is called a Fon.
Meanwhile, Fon Ganyonga III has also stated in the communiqué that the March 28 event to honour the departed children of Bali Nyonga, shall also be an occasion for CULTURAL REVIVAL. Thus the event will be preceded by the performance of necessary traditional rites. The Fon has called on the Bali Nyonga Development and Cultural Association, BANDECA, and the Bali Nyonga Traditional Council, to jointly take up the responsibility to organize the event. To all sons and daughters of Bali Nyonga at home and in the diaspora, the Fon has this message: “AS ALWAYS, I TRUST ON YOUR USUAL COLLABORATION TO MAKE THIS EVENT A SUCCESS”.

BELOW IS THE COMMUNIQUE OF THE FON OF BALI NYONGA, IN ITS ENTIRETY:
HRM Dr Doh Ganyonga III hereby announces to all Bali Nyonga sons and daughters at home and abroad, that the traditional memorial celebration (Cry Die) of victims of Covid – 19 pandemic and the crises shall take place in Bali Nyonga Palace Plaza on March 28th, 2026.
This grand event while honouring the departed children of Bali Nyonga, shall also be an occasion for cultural revival.
Therefore, before the D – Day, the necessary traditional rites shall be observed. BANDECA and the Bali Traditional Council are requested to organize this event.
