“AGL is a leading logistics company, and its partnership with CAF reflects the substantial commitment by both parties to the development and growth of football for men and women in Africa”, CAF President
“We share the same vision of unity and excellence for Africa. We aim to support the successful organization of major tournaments, like AFCON and WAFCON, and also to transform African football into a lasting driver of economic and social development”, President of AGL
Africa Global Logistics, AGL, has a vast logistics network spanning 47 African countries, which of course includes Cameroon, where is has a heavy presence.
On the blessed day of Wednesday, April 23, 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Confederation of African Football commonly known by its French acronym, CAF, and the leading multimodal logistics operator in Africa, Africa Global Logistics, AGL, signed a partnership for the AGL Group to be CAF’s official Logistic Partner for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2226. The President of CAF, Dr Patrice MOTSEPE, signed the partnership for the Confederation, while the President of AGL, Philippe LABONNE, was personally on hand to sign for the Group. This information is contained in a press release issued by AGL.
It should be noted that TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which is for senior male national football teams, and the TotalEnergies CAF Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) which is the female ‘version’ of AFCON, are in fact Africa’s two flagship competitions. So CAF under Dr Patrice Motsepe strives to go in for the best in terms of partners in different domains, to accompany the Confederation to successfully organize these two flagship competitions. It is thus just normal, that CAF has to go for the trusted logistics operator in Africa, Africa Global Logistics, as its Official Logistics Partner for AFCON 2025 and WAFCON 2026, which will both be hosted by Morocco.
AGL Was CAF’s Official Logistics Partner At AFCON 2023
Worth noting that the strategic partnership that the Confederation of African Football signed with Africa Global Logistics on April 23, 2025 in Johannesburg, is not the first of such partnership between the Confederation and the Group. The AGL Group was CAF’s Official Logistics Partner at TotalEnergies CAF African Cup of Nations (AFCON Cote d’Ivoire 2023. The competition actually held in early 2024 in Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast). It was a very successful collaboration between CAF and AGL. That is what encouraged as well as facilitated the signing of the new partnership between CAF and AGL.
So in reality, the new partnership between CAF and AGL that was signed on April 23, 2025, is in a way an extension of the partnership that was signed between the two parties, for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations that held in Ivory Coast. Building on the successful collaboration that began with TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Cote d’Ivoire 2023, AGL will with the new partnership agreement that was signed on April 23 in Johannesburg, once more play a key role as CAF’s Official Logistics Partner for TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026.
