BAKO HAROUNA IS NEW GM OF SONARA

– Before today’s appointment, BAKO HAROUNA has been serving as General Manager of COTCO, as well as Deputy General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi, PAK.

BAKO HAROUNA who cumulatively holds the post of General Manager of the Cameroon Oil Transportation Company, COTCO, and the Deputy General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi, PAK, has also become the new General Manager of the Cameroon oil refinery, SONARA, in Limbe, Southwest Region.
The appointment was announced at an Extraordinary Board Meeting of SONARA that held today (Friday, February 9, 2024), chaired by the Minister of Water and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba. BAKO HAROUNA takes over the juicy post of General Manager of SONARA from Jean Paul Simo Djonou.
It would be recalled that BAKO HAROUNA was first appointed Deputy General of the Port Authority of Kribi, and was later appointed General Manager of COTCO. But then President Biya didnot appoint somebody to take over the post of Deputy General of PAK from BAKO HAROUNA, and so he accumulated the two posts.
Now he has been appointed General Manager of SONARA.
This means that until when some other persons will be appointed to take over the posts of General Manager of COTCO and Deputy General Manager of PAK, BAKO HAROUNA will alone be occupying three top posts in three State owned companies – General Manager of SONARA, General Manager of COTCO, and Deputy General Manager of PAK.
One person. Where as there are many competent or well qualified Cameroonians out there, with nothing. Well, we are living in country run by networks, or what they commonly call in French, réseaux. If you are outside the networks , or if you belong to the wrong network, sorry for you. May God save Cameroon.
