Speculations Start Mounting
Meanwhile, the Interim National President of MRC, in the August 7 release, did not given any hint on the agenda of the September 6 meeting of the National Council of the party. However speculations are already coming up that perhaps National President of MRC, Maurice Kamto, who temporary left the party for MANIDEM in a bid to get investiture to run for the October 7, 2025 presidential election, will formally return to the party at the September 6 meeting, following the rejection on August 5 of his candidacy for the presidential election, by the Constitutional Council. There is also the speculation that perhaps MRC will on that day, decide whether or not to support another candidate at the October 12 presidential election.
Talking about the life of the party, political observers think it has really become necessary for the National Council of MRC to meet, to take some important decisions on the way forward for the party, after the party suffered such a shattering blow on August 5, with the rejection of the candidacy of Prof Maurice Kamto for the October 12 presidential election, by the Constitutional Council.
